In the past, if you were not on the Cookie Walk route, you were not able to participate in our Christmas Events. Why not sponsor an event this year and get your name on all of our publications - in the Newspapers, Village tv AND on all posters announcing the events. What a value for your business! The Link November 2012 Each sponsor will also be a participant in the Cookie Walk. It is too confusing if businesses do one and not the other. You are asked to provide 100 cookies - either homemade or purchased. Up to 100 Cookie Walk customers who have purchased the 2012 souvenir Christmas tin for $5 will come to your place of business to receive one cookie and sign up for prizes. Each Cookie Walk sponsoring retailer or professional is asked to donate $25 for Chamber Members OR $35 for non-Chamber Members to participate. This will be used for publicity, prizes and refreshments in the Village Square. A wrapped box and entry blanks will be delivered to you. Anyone entering your business on Saturday may sign up to win one of the $50 Christmas Shopping Sprees. You will also receive a poster with a picture of this years cookie tin to display to indicate your participation. You are asked to return the box, and entry slips to the Chamber of Commerce Office on Monday, December 3 in order for your customers to be in the drawing. will be held at Union Grove Elementary School from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 1st. Crafters, vendors, specialty booths, holiday treats, bake sale and concessions available. Have your P from 1:00 - 3:00 pm for the cost of $1 or a non-perishable food item which will be donated to the Union Grove Food Pantry. Help keep your neighbors warm this winter by donating new hats and mittens. The hat and mitten tree will be displayed at Breakfast with Santa. It will then be moved to Talmer Bank and Trust until December 14. The hats and mittens will be given to the Union Grove Area Food Pantry to be given out with Christmas Baskets. The Chamber will arrange publicity on Union Grove’s cable TV channel and in all area newspapers. Posters for Cookie Walk participants will be delivered to businesses. The Chamber will place a large ad in the Westine Report on Friday, November 23 explaining the Cookie Walk and identifying all sponsors where customers can sign up for prizes. Any discounts or store specials will also be advertised. In addition, you may purchase an individual ad for the special Christmas page in the Westine Report. Participation is optional, but a full page of ads will make an impact of “friendly hometown shopping and services in Union Grove”. You may also decide to offer discounts or store specials for this special shopping day. Tell us about them and we will advertise it for you.
