Planet Fitness Regional Manager Butch Chandler and General Manager Mike Metosky and their staff is joined by GLLV Chamber President David Martin and Chamber board members and ambassadors. These members included Mike Dudurich, Allen Martello, Walt Henry, Denise Martin, Bob Demangone, Gary Siegel, Brian Edmiston, as well as Ralph and Ryan Scalise from Scalise Real Estate, managers of Latrobe 30 Plaza. GLLV Chamber President David Martin & Rex Pynos from Pynos Insurance Agency in Latrobe pose recently with a check repre- senting Penn National Insurance dividends paid back to chamber members as a result of the Business Insurance Program. The GLLV celebrated a ribbon-cutting event at the newly renovated Mountainview Specialty Care Center. Attendees enjoyed food, giveaways, prizes, Lora Kay and the WHJB FM road show, and The Chalking Dad - professional sidewalk chalk artist. The program, available at the Pynos Insurance Agency in Latrobe and offered through Penn National Insurance, is a group plan that also enables losses sustained by an individual business to be ab- sorbed by the group as well as individual successes. Penn National Insurance has a successful track record of group dividend programs. The ‘ChamberChoice’ program is the 17th active group program un- derwritten by Penn National Insurance. “A part of what we mean by ‘value in membership’ is saving cham- ber members money,” said GLLV president David Martin. “The busi- ness insurance program is locally supported and can literally pay dividends to GLLV members in the program. Educating, raising awareness and funds are the goals of the center, which was the featured non-profit organiza- tion on Wednesday March 9th at the Greater Latrobe-Laurel Valley Chamber of Commerce’s monthly Business After Hours mixer pre- sented by First Commonwealth Bank. The event was significant because the Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce was co-hosting the BAH, which was held at the Ligonier Tavern. It was the first time the Chambers had partnered together for an event. Ligonier Tavern Owner Peter McKay opened the sec- ond and third floors for the overflowing event. Airport Authority Executive Director Gabe Monzo was on-hand to promote the airport’s new charter service and gave away a three- night travel package for two the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino on the Mississippi Gulf Coast valued at $1000 and including round-trip airfare, deluxe accommodations and ground transportation. “In a surprise moment, Ron McDowell, Owner of the Road Toad Restau- rant on Route 30 in Ligonier and Ligonier Chamber board member, “matched” the giveaway and “two” travel packages were awarded.”

Chamber Ribbon Cuttings

The Chamber celebrated a ribbon-cutting event at Planet Fitness Tuesday the 1st in the Latrobe 30 Plaza.
