Sec. Part II (12th / 10+2) or an equivalent examination on or before the date of declaration of result of CET-I, 2016 from a recognized statutory Board/University with 50% marks in aggregate in case of open merit category and 40% in aggregate for reserved categories with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, as elective subjects for admission to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and being permanent residents of J&K State, the candidates, whose result ranks obtained in CET-2016 have been notified vide Notification No. 44-BOPEE of 2016 Dated: 13-06- 2016, are hereby informed that the first round of counselling for admission in various engineering courses shall be held at BOPEE Office 4th Floor, South Block, Bahu Plaza, Jammu and Bagat-e-Barzulla, Srinagar simultaneously through Video Conferencing as per the schedule given at Annexure-A w.e.f. 17-06-2016. IMPORTANT GUIDELINES FOR COUNSELLING & COUNSELLING SCHEDULE All the candidates called for counselling must be present personally in the counselling or through an authorized representative who must have an Authority Letter on the prescribed format given in the E-Brochure. The candidates have to produce, at the time of counselling, (i) their Online Admit Card downloaded by them from the BOPEE website; (ii) Original Marks card of qualifying examination (iii) Permanent Resident Certificate (iv) Date of Birth Certificate (v) Character Certificate, and (vi) Reserved Category Certificate , if any, and a set of attested copies of these certificates. The candidates have to pay non-refundable counselling fee of Rs 1000/= (one thousand only) through the Point of Sale (POS) machine installed in the J&K BOPEE office, Jammu/Srinagar by using their ATM Card/Debit Card/Credit Card. The latest Seat Matrix will be displayed at BOPEE’s office, Srinagar/ Jammu during the counselling as per the Schedule given below and will be also available on BOPEE’s websites during the period of counselling. The counselling for allotment of Discipline and Institution shall be held strictly in accordance with the guidelines given in the Electronic Information Brochure-2016. The allotment of seats shall be made to the candidates on the basis of their merit/rank, choice and availability of seat at the time of counselling. Where all the candidates called for counselling on a particular day cannot be counselled on that day due to paucity of time or otherwise, the remaining candidates shall be counselled next day from 10:00 A.M. onwards first on priority. The candidates must weigh their chances of selection before proceeding for attending counselling. Dr. Syeed A. Untoo, NSS Programme officer formally welcomed the chief guest, Professor (Dr.) G.M. Tibet Baqal, Principal, Heads of various departments, Prof.Khurshid A. Mahajan Staff secretary and other dignitaries besides the students and NSS Volunteers. Dr. Untoo, in his address threw light on the activities to be carried out by the NSS volunteers of the college during the week, within and outside the college campus. Professor (Dr.) G.M. Tibet Baqal, in his inaugural address discussed threadbare the significance of natural resources and their preservation for the wellbeing of human race and stressed upon the role of the students, especially the NSS volunteers in mobilizing the masses in creating awareness on environmental issues. He beautifully linked the role of mankind in preserving the fragile environment around us. He deliberated on the grim reality, how our inaction can pave the way for an environmental catastrophe. The counselling for allotment of Discipline and Institution shall be held strictly in accordance with the guidelines given in the Electronic Information Brochure-2016.     PrESS rELEASE ENVIrONmENTAL WEEK CELEBrATIONS

    In continuation with the Environmental Week Celebrations, the NSS units of this College in collaboration with Eco club and Department of Zoology kick started the celebration of World Environmental Week with a theme, “Save Environment”. Dr. Syeed A. Untoo, NSS Programme officer formally welcomed the chief guest, Professor (Dr.) G.M. Tibet Baqal, Principal, Heads of various departments, Prof.Khurshid A. Mahajan Staff secretary and other dignitaries besides the students and NSS Volunteers. Dr. Untoo, in his address threw light on the activities to be carried out by the NSS volunteers of the college during the week, within and outside the college campus. Professor (Dr.) G.M. Tibet Baqal, in his inaugural address discussed threadbare the significance of natural resources and their preservation for the wellbeing of human race and stressed upon the role of the students, especially the NSS volunteers in mobilizing the masses in creating awareness on environmental issues. He beautifully linked the role of mankind in preserving the fragile environment around us. He deliberated on the grim reality, how our inaction can pave the way for an environmental catastrophe. Prof.Zahida Mehraj and Dr. Sheikh Javaid, also took part in the programme. Professor (Dr) Khurshid A. Mahajan advocated strongly the case for a stringent legislation on environmental protection. Dr. Mohmed Amin Mir, NSS officer highlighted the objectives and activities of NSS units of the College. The students and NSS Volunteers made the session vibrant by their thought provoking presentations on Save Environment.
