What is a Line Graph??

• A line graph is a type of graph that uses line segments between known data points to show changes that have occurred over time.

• Parts of a line graph.

What are they used for??

• Line graphs are used to track changes over short and long periods of time. When smaller changes exist, line graphs are better to use than bar graphs (we will talk about these tomorrow).

• Line graphs can also be used to compare changes over the same period of time for more than one group.
