The Cleveland Grand Prix has historic significance in the

equestrian world because it was the very first show jumping grand prix in North America. It debuted at the Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field in 1965. Since then, as show jumping has grown into an ever more popular sport, hundreds of grand prix events have been held

across North America.
