ROSBERG CRUISES TO VICTORY
Azerbaijan - in Asia - hosted the Grand Prix of Europe! What Bernie Ecclestone wants Bernie gets.There were rumblings before the race that the track might have been unsafe for Formula 1. And indeed during practice and qualifying some illustrious names came in close contact with the walls. The GP2 race was chaotic and mayhem was expected around the challenging confines of the Baku City Circuit.But, no worries, as what transpired on Sunday afternoon was an incident free Formula 1 race in which Nico Rosberg simply cruised, unhindered to claim a comfortable lights to flag victory.Granted for some it may have been a yawn of a race, however there was intrigue in the form of radio rants of Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen, which remained talking points even after the race.We have the whole weekend covered in this edition featuring some neat multimedia elements for the first time. After a three race absence Nico Rosberg returned to the top step of the podium in the best manner possible when he dominated the European Grand Prix at the all new Baku City
Circuit while his Mercedes teammate and main rival for the title, Lewis Hamilton, finished fifth. It was an emphatic win for the German who was invincible in the opening races of the season and may well be on course for another spell of dominance, if his Baku form was anything to go by...
