• 지원 자격: TOPIK 4급 이상의 성적 또는 한국의 4년제 대학 내 어학원에서 한국어 교육

4급 과정 수료

• 한국어 교원자격증: 졸업 시 TOPIK 6급을 받는 경우 국립국어원의 승인 하에 대한민국

정부의 문화체육관광부가 발행하는 외국인을 위한 한국어 교원자격증 취득

장학금 혜택

국제대학원 외국인 장학

•등록금의 50% 감면(입학 시 해당자에 한하여 선발)

•장학적용기간: 정규 재학 기간

한양국제장학금(HISP)

•입학 지원자 중 최종 학교의 성적이 우수한 학생을 대상으로 평가를 통해 선발

• 지원자격: 최종 학교 전(全) 학년 평점 평균(GPA)이 100점 만점으로 환산할 경우 80점

이상인 자

• 장학혜택: 서류심사를 통해 순위에 따라 100%, 70%, 50% 차등 지급(장학 선발 인원은

매 학기 다를 수 있음)

TOPIK 장학금

• 한양대학교에 재학 중인 외국인 유학생(학부 및 대학원) 중 TOPIK시험에 응시하고 급수를 취득

하는 학생들에게 지급(학업연장자 및 대학원생 수료자 제외)

① 응시료: 현재 소지하고 있는 급수보다 높은 급수를 신청해야하며 합격여부와 상관없이

Welcome to Hanyang Korean Studies Department!

Hanyang University's Department of Korean Studies was established in March 2001as

part of the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS). Korea's extremely rapid

development in the second half of the twentieth century has been referred to as "the

miracle of the Han River." As a member of the OECD, Korea is continuing to develop

economically and democratic consolidation is being advanced constantly. Korea aims

to contribute to the common prosperity of East Asia and the rest of the world through

cooperative relationships with other states. Korea's relationship with North Korea is also

of vital importance, particularly given the seriousness of the nuclear issue upon regional

and world peace.

The Korean experience provides an excellent opportunity for prospective students

to advance their understanding of broader issues such as the economic and political

development of developing states, the role of middle powers in the international are-

na, and regional cooperation in East Asia. In this light, students in the Korean Studies

program at the GSIS will acquire special insights into state development strategies and

international relations, as well as a deeper understanding of Korea itself.

The Korean Studies program offers two majors: 1) Korean Studies for both a Master’s

and Ph.D. degree, and 2) Korean Language Education and Korean Studies for a Master’s

degree only. Students presently enrolled in the program come from various countries in

East and South Asia, North and South America, Europe and Africa.

Most of the doctoral graduates of the Korean Studies program have gone on to gain

academic appointments within the Republic of Korea, some in tenured tracks, and/or

abroad in their home countries almost immediately after graduation. The alumni main-

tain close ties to the Korean Studies Department through academic seminars and the

Hanyang Univers≠ity Korean Studies Alumni Association.

I hope that this program will establish excellent ties between students and scholars

wishing to study Korea and East Asian International Relations, and who also desire to

contribute to world peace by extending international comprehension and cooperation.
