Regional Finals Basketball

On Tuesday the 29th of October the Year Six girls and boys basketball teams went to Mill Park to play. Both teams each played two games. In the first game, the boy’s team unfortunately lost by two points. The girl’s team had an extremely eventful first game resulting in four injuries and some sickness, in part causing them to lose by six points. In the second games, both teams lost by a reasonable margin. Although both of the teams tried their very best neither of our teams got into the final or though to state. Thank you to Russell, Craig Lake, Clare Thompson, Belinda Donaldson. Loretta tyear, and all the parents who helped out along the way. By Amelia Judd and Abbey Tyrrell

The force is strong in the 5/6’s As part of our Inquiry into forces and electricity, Grade 5/6 have been exploring how magnets work, electrical circuitry and how power is made. We spent time ‘tuning in’ to what our questions about forces, energy and electricity are and have begun exploring how we can answer these questions through experimentation. We are also writing scientific reports to record and share our findings.
