Stu Cooper is retiring from RPS. To celebrate his retirement from teach-
ing and stellar career we will be holding a special farewell assembly on
December 13th from 2.30- 3.30pm. More details will follow, so watch

Bread Tags for Wheelchairs
We love supporting charities in anyway we can
at RPS.
Bread Tags for Wheelchairs have been recy-
cling bread tags in South Africa since 2006.
They currently collect about 500kg/month,
which funds 2-3 wheelchairs. Now they are col-
lecting in Australia too!
Please save your bread tags – they will be recy-
cled to fund wheelchairs in South Africa.
What can I do? It’s easy ….. save your bread
tags for a while and then drop them off at our
office.
GRADE 1/2
WOODWORK
INCURSION We are learning all about 'Innovation'; building, designing, making and creating in Grade 1/2. Last week, the students took part in a woodwork incursion run by Craft Power, where they built a go-kart for their toys out of wood and other materials. We were very impressed to see how talented they were at wielding a hammer and other tools.

Regional Finals Basketball
On Tuesday the 29th of October the Year Six girls and boys basketball teams went to Mill Park to play. Both teams each played two games. In the first game, the boy’s team unfortunately lost by two points. The girl’s team had an extremely eventful first game resulting in four injuries and some sickness, in part causing them to lose by six points. In the second games, both teams lost by a reasonable margin. Although both of the teams tried their very best neither of our teams got into the final or though to state. Thank you to Russell, Craig Lake, Clare Thompson, Belinda Donaldson. Loretta tyear, and all the parents who helped out along the way. By Amelia Judd and Abbey Tyrrell
The force is strong in the 5/6’s As part of our Inquiry into forces and electricity, Grade 5/6 have been exploring how magnets work, electrical circuitry and how power is made. We spent time ‘tuning in’ to what our questions about forces, energy and electricity are and have begun exploring how we can answer these questions through experimentation. We are also writing scientific reports to record and share our findings.

Harvest time @RPS
Our Gardening Club were able to see the fruits of their
labour this week when harvesting this seasons vegeta-
bles. The Gardening Club, that work with Chony were
proud to share their beetroots, carrots, beans and celery
with a lucky few who were able to take some of the or-
ganic fresh vegetables home to enjoy.
