    Selecting a program: Consider what it means to you, your family & your friends. How is your choice relatedto your career/life goals? If your career/life goals are unclear at this point, will your choice provide theflexibility you may need?

    Full disclosure dates for each semester are five days following the mid-term reporting cycle

    Will you complete ALL your diploma requirements (including your 40 hours new curriculum)? Willyou have six Grade 12 U/M courses required for university admission in Ontario? ("O" courses will notcount towards your six - for example, PAF4OM)

    Peel District School Board transmits Grade 11 final marks, first semester marks, midterm secondsemester marks and final second semester marks to the OUAC and OCAS. If you are taking coursesoutside of PDSB, it is the responsibility of that institution to send the registration information and yourmarks to the OUAC and OCAS. Your LP transcript will be updated only upon final receipt of credits takenoutside of LP.

    Check the calendars of at least 3 to 5 universities/colleges/other of your choice and compare theprograms. What courses are compulsory and optional within your program or area of interest? Usewww.myBlueprint.ca (Activation Key: parklorne) to help you explore.

    Campus visits, Open Houses, talk to a university/college representative, attend Lorne Parksuniversity/college Lunch Box Series in the Fall, Counselling Information Sessions, University and CollegeFairs.

    Attend special events such as open houses, campus visits, university/college fair. (Check on-linesummer tours are also available)

    If youve considered a very competitive or limited enrolment program, do you have a back-up oralternative plan?

    Investigate housing availability on or off campus.

    What is available at the university/college/other for special needs students?

    How will you finance your education? Could you qualify for scholarships, bursaries or governmentstudent loans? Check the OSAP information at www.osca.ca(Student Resources > Scholarships &Financial Assistance)

    Attend LP's Scholarship Drop-Ins check bulletin board outside the Counselling Office for schedule
