with

&GraceGratitudeGenerosityThe Mission of the Holy Family Volunteer Program

is to provide parishioners the opportunity to

participate in the life of the parish, assist in

sustaining parish activities, and show our gratitude

by sharing our God-given gifts and talents with

each other and our parish community.

Msgr. Connolly gave a homily recently about a religious leader asking his

students “how do you know when ‘the darkness is changing into light?’”

There were many incorrect answers given; finally, the religious leader stated

‘You know darkness is changing to light when you are able to look into

another person’s eyes and see yourself.’

I see myself in the eyes of these people coming to me to have their

tattoos removed. I have made many mistakes in my life and there have been

wonderful people there to pick me up. These people at HomeBoy are God’s

children and I also see Jesus when I look in their eyes.

Dawn asked me if I would use my ‘gifts’ to design the church bulletin boards for Easter. Having recently ‘graduated’ from RCIA the whole concept of the true meaning of Easter was new to me, but working on the boards actually brought me to another level of faith in understanding more about Christ’s resurrection and His transformation through the cross. I think every year we should renew and every year we should transform into a deeper faith.
