Our unique heating systems have been developed by Bröderna Wimans Mekaniska Verkstad AB. The company was founded in 1962 by Lars Wiman who by himself developed his own wood chip oven and laid the foundation for today’s generation of biomass burners which we now sell under the brand name of GOTFire. Today operates GOTFire AB by the son Ola Wiman and his family and about five employees, and we are proud to be one of the leading Swedish companies working within wood chip burning. From being a small local company based in the town of Vänge on the island of Gotland, GOTFire today delivers its heating systems to property owners in both Sweden and Europe. Our goal is and has always been to deliver the best possible heating system that is environmentally friendly, economical and safe – both good for you and the environment!

It might also be nice to know that our heating system is capable of meeting the Swedish Energy Agencies’ emission requirements by a wide margin and is one of the few that is certified under the European quality and efficiency requirements of en 303-5. Tests in 2006 by the Swedish bio-energy consultancy ÄFAB also showed that our burner has a very high efficiency with very low emissions of environmentally harmful substances. We focus all the time on the quality of the company’s work at large and are constantly working to improve and develop our own products. Gotland’s quality at its best, which you can rely on!

The benefits of choosing wood as fuel are numerous! One can for example exploit and use most of our forests and woodlands, even that which cannot be used to saw logs or make pellets. Wood chips are cheap to produce, are usually locally grown and easy to obtain. Making use of locally produced renewable energy also means shorter transport time and costs which benefits everyone.

The energy content in a cubic metre of wood chips is usually higher than within a cubic metre of wood logs, but can vary depending on the moisture content which should not exceed 30%. The lower the moisture content, the better the thermal value. Wood chip energy content is typically about 3.5 to 4.0 kWh/kg (approximately 150 to 250 kg/m³).

For those with a house or smaller industrial property we strongly recommend regular stem wood chip of the standard gf60, also known as “dry, fine wood chips” with a moisture content of 10 – 30%.

A clever problem solver for free!The GOTFire NON-Stuck control system with its visible at a glance display module SMU is the brain of the firing process. This means it comes with a host of smart features when you buy one of our wood chip burner systems. Everything from electronic starting of the burner to the monitoring and alarm functions. If something blocks the wood chip supply the NON-Stuck function and reversing motor automatically activates until the blockage is released. A pre-programmed automatic control of the accumulator tank system with sensors is also used. We update the software continuously and you always have free access to the latest software version. With minimal supervision and maximum comfort, the NON-Stuck control system carries out the most part of the systems’ operation.

Our wood chip storages are substantially constructed of durable and weather resistant material. Simple to use and have shutters that open with an easy-to-use handle or hydraulic operation. They are equipped with scrapers that feed the wood chips into the screw conveyor which is submerged within the hopper base and transports the wood chips to the burner. If you already have your own external storage then we also have a smooth solution for indoor use (see page 10).

WOOD CHIP STORAGES

ROBUST AND WEATHER RESISTANTBOILERS · ACCUMULATOR TANKS

FULL CONTROL ON THE HEATOur boilers are safe and reliable and can be fired with both wood chip, wood logs and pellets. They have a sturdy construction and includes a bimetallic thermostat and overheat protection. Tested and certified according to the European standard en 303-5 and manufactured in accordance with iso 9001:2008. It makes for a high quality and long life.

A storage tank stores heat in a hot water buffer, much like a savings account at the bank, which you can then take advantage of just when you need it. It provides an even, comfortable heat for a longer time and plenty of hot water. The tanks are available in different sizes to suit your specific heating requirements. On pages 14 –15 you will find info on all models.

GOTFire CKP

This boiler has the capacity for larger properties and facilities, and is a great choice both as a primary or alternative heat source. Modern technology mixed with high quality, suitable for properties up to 2000 m2. Available in five sizes (30 – 100 kW).

GOTFire CKBP

A compact boiler as well covering the heat load for buildings up to 800 m2. This type of boiler has a built in water heater with stainless steel water volume sizes from 80 to 100 litres and provides a smooth and constant hot water temperature. Available in three different effect sizes (30 – 50 kW).

GOTFire TIP

Our common round tank with outer casing of scratch and impact- resistant steel. Insulated with high- quality wool, 110 mm at the sides and 145 mm at the top. Available in fixed sizes between 320 – 3000 litres and has several equipment options.

GOTFire TIV

Our common rectangular tank, designed for doorways. Insulated with high-quality wool, 60 mm at the sides and 95 mm at the top. Volume size of 500 litres and has several equipment options.

GOTFire T

A round un-insulated tank, suit-able for confined spaces. Adjusted as desired. Available in fixed sizes between 320 – 5000 litres.

GOTFire TRI

A rectangular tank for large volumes, suitable for small spaces. Insulated with 100 mm high quality wool. Manufactured as per demand.

Laddomat regulates the supply of hot and cold water in the system and en ables the boiler to quickly reach about 80° working temperature. The in tegrated automatic system ensures that the tank system is always fully charged and also takes advantage of the residual heat even during a power failure.

With its flexible culvert system and the broadest range we recommend Maxitherm when it comes to culverts. They are delivered in seamless lengths and are ideal for temperatures up to 95° and a working pressure of up to 10 bar.

We use the chimney system Therminox from the French company Cheminées Poujoulat which we consider to be one of the best on the market. The chimney is made of insulated, stainless steel with double walls and are adaptable to most buildings and heating systems.

With automatic control products from Swedish Esbe you can effectively control the temperature flows into your heating system – for increased comfort in the indoor environment while contributing to a better environment at large. The products can be used in both heating, cooling and domestic hot water systems and are suitable for most pipe sizes.
