    GOP heavy hitters in the lieutenant governors race

    Five of GOP gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbotts 25 biggest contributors have stayed completely out of Tuesdays heated

    Republican primary for lieutenant governor. Seven have made six-figure donations to at least one of the four hopefuls for the states

    No. 2 political office. The remaining 13, who have written checks ranging from $2,000 to $75,000, may be waiting to see which two

    candidates make it to an expected May runoff:
