On the bottom of the screen, you’ll see a round icon that’s red, yellow, and green. This is Google Chrome. Can you click it once to open it?

Let’s find articles on Google News

This is the homepage of Google News. You can look at today’s top news stories. The top news stories change every few hours, and sometimes every few minutes.

On the left side of Google News is the Menu Bar. Here you can search for news articles in different categories.

Click on the Canada section on the menu bar.

Here, you’ll see all of the top stories that are related to Canada.

Scroll down the list of articles and click on one that you want to read.

Now you try! Click on the Sports section on

the Menu Bar.

Click on the Health section on the Menu Bar.

Click on the Top stories section on the Menu Bar.

In the search box, type any city in the world. Let’s try typing Tehran. When you’re done, press Enter .

Click on Your local news on the menu bar. This is where you can see the top news in your community. Do you want to see news from other communities, too? You can add other areas by clicking Add.

To see local news from one place, click on its picture. The picture will have a blue circle around it when you’re reading that city’s local news.

NOW YOU TRY Let’s try adding more regions to your local news! Type:

• Sidon, Lebanon

• Dawson City, Yukon

• Nipissing, Ontario

• Klerksdorp, South Africa

Now you can see local news from both Tehran and your city/town.
