First Week of June is Extended Learning Opportunities for the Following Data Collection Methods:- ABC Analysis- Scatterplot
We have received a request from the Center on Accessible
Materials for Learning to create a 2 minute video with positive
teacher experiences. This will be shared nationally.
Therefore, we would like to take the first few minutes on
Monday, May 11, 2020, starting at 9:45 to record any positive
experiences you’ve had during this COVID-19 pandemic.
If you’re interested in sharing 1-2 sentences, please copy/paste
the link in the ChatBox, then join us at that time to record your
message.
If you have any questions about the specifics of this, please
email Roberta Lucas at: [email protected]

Favorite TeachersColette Sullivan – Mrs. Biegel, High School French. She took the time to write me a note and I still have it
today.
Leora Byras – Mrs. Swenson at Williams-Cone School in Topsham. 3rd grade. 1980?
Kristina Diaz – Mrs. Knutson, third grade, Love of learning and Fun Friday. Amazing teacher, got to know all
of her students.
Nicole Shores – My 4th grade teacher, Mrs. G. She was the first teacher to recognize and help me with my
LD. It was the first time I knew I wanted to help people!
Lisa Falardeau – Grade 3 Mrs. McKinney. She did a lot of SEL!!
Laura Marquis – Mrs. Baumb/2nd grade-Supportive, creative, very hands-on and made me feel important
and special
Kathren Greenlaw – My favorite teacher was Mrs. Corliss at Bonny Eagle High School. She was a role
model to students and student athletes - always putting education before athletics and holding students to
high expectations.
Nicole Wescott – My favorite teacher was Mrs. Young. She had a combined third and fourth grade class.
She passed away from cancer when I was a sophomore in high school
Jo-Anna Merry – Mrs. Edwards English teacher grade 6-8. Made me feel like I could do anything and
recognized my strengths.
LuAnn McLaughlin – Mrs. Myrick my first Music teacher
Susan Sinnott – Ms. Chappell - sixth grade English Biddeford - She helped me find my voice as a socially
awkward kid. She was socially awkward but FABULOUS. “Let your inner person shine” “I see you” “I hear
you” - She taught me compassion and an adult other than my family truly cared about me. SHE is the reason
I wanted to be a teacher.
Phil Scharer – Mom was my favorite teacher grades 1, 3-7
If you’re out there…Make me feel pride for my school
Never lose your spark
Be there for me
Help me be the best version of myself
Support me
Push me to my full potential
Fight for me
Inspire me
Mentor me
Keep loving me
Help me find who I am
Be good for me
Help us understand that we’re more than just grades on paper
Don’t give up on me
We’re the generation…That will bring peace never seen before
Who will walk in the footsteps you leave behind
Who will be the peacemakers
That will invent the unimaginable
Who will bring robotics to everyday life
That will teach the future
Who will cure cancer
That will use our voice for good
Who will start a conversation
That stands up for what’s right
Who will be everyday heroes
That will stand up for others
Of change and compassion
Who will change the world
I’m there…
To make school the best 7 hours of their day
To be a voice for my students who don’t have one
To make a positive difference in the lives of students each day
To help students reach their full potential
So that every child has someone that believes in them

Q: I know districts are busy creating transition
plans in preparation for whenever we do go back
to in-classroom instruction. Is DOE providing any
guidance around this to districts? I ask because I
have had received lots of questions and concerns
on students returning to the previous grades for a
few days prior to moving on.
A: This is a local decision.
