    INTRODUCTION TO MODERN-DAY HOLIDAYS

    THE IRONIC HOLIDAY/CHRISTMAS ISSUE

Celebrating Christmas or not celebrating Christmas has become a touchy issue for many. Even in thenews we see certain groups trying to take Christ out of Christmas (For instance, a holiday tree

instead of a Christmas tree, and Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas. On the other side we see many churches and Christians trying to keep Christ in Christmas. I also felthis way just a short time ago, until I learned the truth of Christmas origins and began to look at it fromthe Lords point of view. Of course, the change in my point of view started with these Letters, WorshipWith Gratitud His Birth, and Giv Thanks for His Dath & Rsurrction, Rgarding th Clbrationof christmas and Clbrat Not Thos Things of Pagan Origins! / Stand Stadfast Against th Windsof Dcption and Lying! from Volume 1, which are also included in the following study. (Please refeto the following study for applicable Bible verses). There is a surprising irony to this situation. Those people who are trying to take Christ out of Christmaare motivated by their own evil antichrist desires. When in fact, unknowingly, they are accomplishing

what the Lord calls of His people to do, His followers who walk in the Truth with eyes wide open. Andthen there are those people who proclaim themselves Christians who are trying to keep Christs nameassociated with what the Lord despises.I know many of you who love the Lord think you celebrate Christmas the way it should be celebratedI know and understand your point of view. I used to feel the same way. You must ask yourselves somevery important questions.

    CHRISTMAS AND THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

What if Christmas broke one of Gods commandments, just one? Would you still celebrate it? Obviouslythis is a question for Christians only. What if it broke more than one? Or are some of the Lordscommands not as important as the others?

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU IT BREAkS EIGHT OF THE TEN?

Commandment One: You shall hae no other gods before Me.The date of December 25th originated from the worship of the sun god whose birthday was Decembe25th. In an effort to ease the converted pagans into their new Christian faith, the Catholic church atthe time decided to meet the newly converted pagans half way and adopt many of their customs andrituals into this new holiday. Thus the day changed from birthday of the sun god to birthday of theSon of God. (Refer to the following study for more on this subject.)

Commandment Two: You shall not mae for yourself an idol in the form of anything in Heaen aboeor on earth beneath or in the waters below.Christmas trees and santa fall into this category. The use of holly, greenery, mistletoe, lights, etc. aloriginated from the pagan rituals which included worship of false gods and their idols. In regards tosanta: You say, He is not real. It doesnt matter. But it does matter to God. Are not all idols imaginaryand made by human hands, neither speaking, nor hearing? Even though it seems harmless, the Lordstill nds this detestable. Also, does santa lead people away, or to, Christ? Isnt he just an articiareplacement, an idol? (Refer to the following study for more information).

    INTRODUCTION TO MODERN-DAY HOLIDAYS

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU IT BREAkS EIGHT OF THE TEN? cont.

Commandment Three: You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.Christ Jesus is in God and God in Him. Jesus said His name is Gods name, the name God has givenHim. Holy Fathr, protct thm by th powr of your nam - th nam you gav M - so that thymay b on as w ar on. Whil I was with thm, I protctd thm and kpt thm saf by that namyou gav M (John 7:-). We should not associate the name of Christ with any other name thanthe name God has given Him. (refer to the next page to understand why christmas is a misuse of theLords name)

Commandment Si: More people commit suicide during the holidays than any other time. (Murderofself).

Commandment Seen: Many people commit adulteryand fornication during this time due to drunken-ness and parties.

Commandment Eight:Theftincreases during this time of year.

Commandment Nine:False Testimoyis abundant. Everywhere you turn, people are lying about thisbeing Christs true birthday, to their children and to themselves. Santa is a lie. For alot of people, the pressureof competition leads them to lie about gifts theyve received or havent received, money spent, etc.

Commandment Ten: We teach covetousness to our children. This is actually taught to them by default, through lack of any kind of correction. Children learn to care about receiving more than about giving,

and they always want what everyone else has. For most children Christmas has become an endlesswish list, not a day for giving back to the world, but for the world to give to them. As for adults, there is constant competition and envy of their neighbors lights, decorations, new snowblower, etc.(whether we admit it or not).

Most people agree Christmas is supposed to be about Christ and His birth. Pretend you are Jesus Christlooking down from above on this modern-day Christmas. What would you see?

A celebration of His birthday on the 25th, which is not His birthday, but the pagan sun godsbirthday.

The use of decorations, rituals, and practices originating from pagan worship of false gods.

You would also see six of the seven deadly sins: Vanity Pride Envy (Coveting what everyone else has or receives) Greed (Love of money & things) Lust (Christmas parties) Gluttony (Overeating and overindulgence)

    (Materialism)

And all this in Christs name. Is it really a mass for Christ or a blaspheming of His name? You decide.

No matter how people whitewash Christmas, or rationalize it, it is what it is in the eyes of the Lord. Paul saidGod will strik you, you whit-washd wall! You sit thr to judg m according to th law, yt you yourslviolat th law... (Acts 23:3). Shall we try to wash only the outside of a cup, leaving the inside lled withabominations and sin. Jesus said, Wo to you, tachrs of th law and Phariss, you hypocrits! You clanth outsid of th cup and dish, but insid thy ar full of grd and slf-indulgnc (Matthew 23:25).

In the Bible you will not nd anyone celebrating Christmas. You will nd many verses saying not to mix trueworship with false worship, or holy days with unholy days and practices (please refer to the following study).

    MODERN-DAY HOLIDAYS

PART 1: DOES THE LORD APPROvE OF THE MODERN HOLIDAYS OFHALLOWEEN, CHRISTMAS AND EASTER?

No. The reason being that all three of these days began as pagan, or heathen, celebrations and festivals(There are also other days throughout the year that had pagan origins as well.) In the Bible we arewarned about having anything to do with pagan rituals, namely idol-worship, and the consequencesif we do. Because the origins of these three days are rooted deeply in idol-worship (the sun god, Baalgod of wine, god of war, etc.) we are to have nothing to do with them. Substituting Christian namesand practices for pagan customs, worse still, substituting anything for what God has commanded, regardless of how well our intentions might be, is idolatry and abomination in the eyes of the Lord.

From God the Father, gie to Timothy: Any pur watr mixd with poison bcoms poison. B thnsparat. Do not whitwash any wall of abomination... Tar itdown and turn wholly to Th Lord in all truth and supplication!Shall you wash th outsid of th cups of blasphmy and lav thinsid rank?... Drink not from ths cups, lst you bcom ill andyour faith di in dissolution.

Pagan rituals consistently went against seeral of the commandments, and in the most heinous ways.

You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or anylikeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water underthe earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous Godvisiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hateMe, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. ~ Exodus20:3-6

From God the Father, gie to Timothy:In ths commands of your Fathr, know My punishmnt... Andundrstand, gratr is My mrcy and rward for thos who kpthm now and during th tim com.

    MODERN-DAY HOLIDAYS

PART 1: DOES THE LORD APPROvE OF THE MODERN HOLIDAYS OFHALLOWEEN, CHRISTMAS AND EASTER? cont.

The following erses in the Bible gie reference to Gods anger regarding those who would worshipidols and een His people who would adopt the pagan rituals of the lands they went into.

Take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed frombefore you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, How did these nations servetheir gods? I also will do likewise. You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way; forevery abomination to the Lord which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burneven their sons and daughters in the re to their gods. Whatever I command you, be careful toobserve it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it. ~ Deuteronomy 12:30-32

Do not learn the way of the Gentiles... ~ Jeremiah 10:2 (Gentiles were pagan)

They forsook the Lord and served Baal and the Ashtoreths. And the anger of the Lord was hotagainst Israel. So He delivered them into the hands of plunderers who despoiled them; and Hesold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they could no longer stand beforetheir enemies. ~ Judges 2:13-14

For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abominationof the Ammonites. 6 Solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord, and did not fully follow the Lord,as did his father David. Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab,on the hill that is east of Jerusalem, and for Molech the abomination of the people of Ammon. And he did likewise for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and sacriced to their gods.So the Lord became angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned from the Lord God ofIsrael, who had appeared to him twice, and had commanded him concerning this thing, that heshould not go after other gods; but he did not keep what the Lord had commanded. Thereforethe Lord said to Solomon, Because you have done this, and have not kept My covenant andMy statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom away from you andgive it to your servant. ~ 1 Kings 11:5-11

So He brought me to the door of the north gate of the Lords house; and to my dismay, womenwere sitting there weeping for Tammuz. 15 Then He said to me, Have you seen this, O sonof man? Turn again, you will see greater abominations than these. 16 So He brought me into

the inner court of the Lords house; and there, at the door of the temple of the Lord, betweenthe porch and the altar, were about twenty-ve men with their backs toward the temple of theLord and their faces toward the east, and they were worshiping the sun toward the east. 17 AndHe said to me, Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it a trivial thing to the house of Judah tocommit the abominations which they commit here? For they have lled the land with violence;then they have returned to provoke Me to anger. Indeed they put the branch to their nose. 18Therefore I also will act in fury. My eye will not spare nor will I have pity; and though they cryin My ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them. ~ Ezekiel 8:14-18

    MODERN-DAY HOLIDAYS

    PART 2: HALLOWEEN

Halloween is denitely pagan in its origin. Also, because of what was done at those pagan rituals,

we should not hae anything to do with this day, nor let our children imitate or hae anything to dowith this day.

Hallowees Paga Origi:This day was the rst day of the Celtic New Year. The people in the Celtic culture who led the holiday celebrationwere known as Druids. The Druids were priests and priestesses and magicians. The Druid lord of death and evispirits, was called by variations of the name Saman, such as Samana, Shamhain, or Samhain. The holiday wasoriginally called The Vigil of Samhain. Samhain was shown as a ghostly skeleton holding a sickle in his handWe know him today as the Grim Reaper. November 1st was considered the day of death for the Celts becausethe leaves had fallen, it was getting darker sooner and temperatures were dropping. They believed that MuckOlla, their sun god, was losing strength because Samhain, their lord of death, was overpowering him. They

also believed that on October 31st, Samhain assembled all the spirits of all who died the previous year. Theybelieved that the spirits of the dead were conned to inhabit animals bodies as punishment for their evil deedsOn October 31st, they were allowed to return to their former homes to visit the living (modern-day hauntedhouse). To appease Samhain and stop the evil spirits from harming them, the Celts gathered up animals andpeople and put them in wicker cages and burned them to death. The word Halloween is derived from the termAll Hallows Eve which occurred on October 31st, the end of summer in Northwestern Europe. All SaintsDay or All Hallows Day was Nov. 1st. Therefore, Halloween is the eve of All Saints Day. Around the 5thcentury, as the Catholic church developed and moved into this area, instead of adding a new day to celebrateit took over the Samhain celebration. Nov. 1st became All Hallows Eve when all the saints of the Catholicchurch were honored. The seemingly innocent customs of today such as trick-or-treating, and even the jack-o-

lantern, etc. began with these early pagan customs.

Should we celebrate this day? NO! Not only because of its pagan roots but also because of whatthe pagans did during this celebration. Human sacrices and evil spirit worship goes againstGod in the worst possible way. God is life, not anti-life. God is holy, not evil... To hoor thisday is to dishoor God.

The Bible gies specic instructions on what was to be done regarding those who didthese detestable pagan rituals:

There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the re,or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one whoconjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things arean abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out frombefore you. ~ Deuteronomy 18:10-12

Abstain from every form of evil. ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:22

    Also read: Deuteronomy 18:9-12, Ephesians 5:11-12, Leviticus 19:31, Deuteronomy 18:10-12, Leviticus20:27, 1 Chronicles 10:13

Qustion askd: Is clbrating Hallown OK?

[Answr from God Th Fathr] In regards to the day in which your land celebrates the Day of the Dead...Those who hear not, speak not, think not, nor even pray, for all of their thoughts have perished... To honorthm is to honor nothing and is contmptibl, for honoring th dad is to honor th dark. I am The Lightand The Life... Hoor Me. So I say to you, do not do it! Rather, honor the season of autumn and give thanksIn no way make images to the dead, nor adorn yourself or your children with the symbols of death. Rathercelebrate autumn and its splendor. I created autumn, so all may partake with their eyes My brushstrokesand know I am God and give Me glory... For I hav shown My splndor in all th trs, grasss and cratursof ight. ~ [Lttrs from God and His Christ, Volum - Honor Not th Day of th Dad, HonorGod]

    PART 3: CHRISTMAS

Lie Halloween, Christmas is pagan in its origins. Despite what Christians hae tried to mae thisday, the original celebrations dating long before Christs birth, actually inoled human sacrices andseual perersion, etc. These behaiors are denitely nothing we would associate with the birth of

our Lord and Saior, Jesus Christ, nor would we hae anything to do with these things anytime.

Christmas Pagan Origins:The origin of this religious celebration predates Christianity. Elements of this day are traced to ancientEgypt, Babylon and Rome. December 25th was known as the birthday of the sun god. The unchristianemperor, Aurelian, established the festival of Dies Invicti Solis, the Day of the Invincible Sun, onDecember 25th. Also on that day, a religion from Persia (Mithraism), which in those days was one ofChristianitys strongest rivals, also celebrated their sun god. This day is also celebrated as the wintersolstice for many cultures. During their festivals, they were given to much excess and debauchery. Thisfestival went by different names in different cultures including Saturnalia in Rome, in honor of theroman god of agriculture, Saturn. Parallel to Saturn, who was a god-king who ate his own children

presumably to avoid regicide (his own murder while king), was a Carthaginian Baal, whose brazenhorned efgy contained a furnace in which children were sacricially fed. Other festivals includedBacchanalia honoring Bacchus, the god of wine. This festival included songs, dancing and other revelswhich went beyond decency, including orgies. Other festivals included the Teutonic Feast (ice giantwhich signied death vs. the sun god, life). This was also the time of the Yule-Feast of the Norsemen(revival of the sun). The Norsemen gave us such popular customs as the yule log, evergreen boughs andholly. In Germany, they sacriced to their god of war, Odin.

    PART 3: CHRISTMAS(cont)

    The Creation of Christmas:

The tendency of Catholic leadership at that time (around the third century) was to meet paganismhalfway. Failing to make much headway in converting the pagans, the religious leaders of the Romanchurch began compromising. Rather than converting them to the churchs beliefs, the church becamelargely converted to non-Christian customs in its own religious practices. At rst, the Catholic churchcensured these celebrations, but because these festivals were far too entrenched in popular favor to beabolished, the church nally granted them necessary recognition, hoping that they could win convertsthis way. The converts were even allowed to kill a great number of oxen to the glory of God the Fatheras formerly they had done this to honor their pagan gods. Even after many thousands of converts hadbeen baptized into the Christian faith, they were still allowed to have their usual pagan Decembercelebrations. The observance of December 25th as a holy day or holiday for Christians began when early Roman

church leaders adopted this day and gave it the name of Christ (Christ mass, or Christmas). Convertswere told to worship the Son of God instead of the sun god. The focus of the holiday subtly changedbut the traditional pagan customs and practices remained, for the most part, unchanged. Many other modern-day Christmas traditions including candles and lamps, exchanging gifts, feasting, etc. all are rooted in these pagan festivals. An interesting note: The Pilgrims in Massachusetts, our founding forefathers, made a point ofworkingon Christmas as on any other day. On June 3, 1647, Parliament establishedpunishmnts for observingChristmas and certain other holidays. This policy was reafrmed in 1652.Years later, it was the German immigrants who brought some of these customs to America. The main reason Christmas has survived and grown into such a popular holiday is because of economicfactors. Retailers in the U.S. count on this season of giving for fty percent of their annual sales.

Once again, God does not approe of us haing festials and celebrations or holidays that are rootedin paganism. Paganism is based on worshiping false gods and idols. Doing these things is detestableto the Lord.

For they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands. They have committedadultery with their idols, and even sacriced their sons whom they bore to Me, passingthem through the re, to devour them. Moreover they have done this to Me: They have

deled My sanctuary on the same day and profaned My Sabbaths. For after they had slaintheir children for their idols, on the same day they came into My sanctuary to profane it; andindeed thus they have done in the midst of My house. ~ Ezekiel 23:37-39

Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrice they sacrice to demons and not to God,and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lordand the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lords table and of the table of demons. ~1 Corinthians 10:20-21

[Answr from God Th Fathr] Timothy and Beloved, I tell you this: Let your heart guide you, for on it have written many things, and many more will I write until the time of the end. Then will you be changed, from mortato immortal... So too will th will of your hart chang. For now, know this: You may indeed honor My Sons birth, the beginning of the Salvation Day of the World. Forif you make it a mass for Christ, in this you do honor Me... To imitat Christ is rightousnss...

Blssd ar thos who worship, with gratitud, th birth of My Son...evn mor blssd ar thos, who worship and giv thanks for His dath and rsurrction.

Woe, I say to those, who celebrate this season, reveling in sin.And wo, wo, to thos who clbrat this holidayin honor of Th Christ, this dtstabl sason of so-calld giving... Whn in truth, it is a sason of slshnss and

pridful giving, a sason of abominabl traditions and idolatry. Christ is not in thir harts, thy hav put Himfar from thm... For th day is coming, and is alrady hr, whn th world will try to hid Him away and forcothrs to do th sam. Know you not, th sason of Christ has bn forvr?... And so shall it rmain, forvr.Mak Christ th cntrpic of your livs! And shun all that is a replacement or for show! Com out from amongthm, and touch not th unclan thing!... To rplac Christ, with fals good, is to partak in that which is calld

antichrist... And to honor Him, with pagan traditions, is a grat dscration of His nam!Know this: The world celebrates this holiday in ignorance, and knows not its origins are an abomination, in theeyes of The Lord your God. Even so does it remain, and become more and more liken unto its true origins, manyof which were brought forth and celebrated, before the birth of The Son into the world. So give your gifts, share your love, lift up the poor and the poor in spirit, but celebrate not as the world does..Nor honor The Son as your neighbor. Rathr, rjoic in your Lord and your God, Jsus Th Christ... Th Saviorof mn.

Shar His lov!... Spak of Him, from His birth to His passion, for this is th tru gift...Honor Him in all your ways, glorify His nam!

Thn you may say to on anothr, you hav clbratd

Th Salvation Day of th World, in Christ Jsus... Th Son, in whom I am wll plasd.

Qustion askd by Timothy: Lord, what do you think of th modrn Christmas?

[Answr from God Th Fathr] Though you have asked of Me what I think of this holiday, this season, of whichthe people in your land, even in many lands, mistakenly refer to as Christmas... For it is not a mass for Christ aall, but a abomiatio i the eyes of The Most High!... I say to you, Timothy, I will not prss down upon you th

many cups, lld to ovrowing with My indignation, for you havnt th papr or strngth of hand to writ it.

As to those you love, who celebrate this day in this way which I abhor, give them not its origins until it isnished, and accept their gifts with love and thanksgiving, for they are in ignorance of many, many things. MODERN-DAY HOLIDAYS

    PART 4: EASTER

The moder-day Easter is supposed to be a celebratio of Christs resurrectio, yet we icorporate

such thigs as buies, ad colored eggs, etc. Oce agai, the origi of Easter, ad these peculiarsymbols, is rooted i pagaism. Lie Hallowee ad Christmas, the origis of this day icludedidol-worship, worshipig other gods, sexual perersio, etc. We are told may times i the Bible toabstai from such behaiors.

Easters Pagan Origins:Easters origins are connected to Spring fertility rites. The term Easter is not of Christian origin. It isanother form of Astarte, one of the titles of the Chaldean goddess, the queen of heaven, who is thegoddess of spring and fertility. Many pagan cultures believed that the god of fertility died each yearduring the winter but was reborn each year in the spring. Ancient fertility rites revolved around grosssexual immorality and perversion. The Babylonian and Assyrian fertility goddess was Ishtar, whosename may well have been the origin of the word Easter. To the pagans, Ishtar symbolized motherearth in the natural cycles of fertility on earth. She was the goddess of love, and the practice of rituaprostitution became widespread, both men and women. Temples to Ishtar had many priestesses, orsacred prostitutes, who symbolically acted out the fertility rites of the cycle of nature. Other cultureshad their various forms of Ishtar: the Phoenician Astarte, the Semitic Ashtoresh, and the SumerianInanna. There are also strong similarities between Ishtar and the Egyptian Isis, the Greek Aphrodite andthe Roman Venue. Associated with Ishtar, was the young god Tammuz, considered both divine andmortal. In Babylonian mythology Tammuz died annually and was reborn year after year, representingthe yearly cycle of the seasons and the crops. The pagan belief later was identied with the pagangods Baal and Anat. The pair of Ishtar and Tammuz were later recognized in the Mediterranean region

including Israel, under other names: Baal and Astarte (Ashtoreth), Attis and Cybele, and Adonis andAphrodite.Early Christians had nothing to do with Easter. Instead they kept Passover, instituted by God centuriesearlier at the time of the Exodus. Later Jesus Christ and His apostles introduced the added meaningsregarding Jesus, the Lamb of God, offered as the true Passover sacrice for the sins of the world. (John1:29; 1 Corinthians 5:7). Even in the second century, Christians were still following the examples of

Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1; 1 Peter 2:21; 1 John 2:6) in observing the Passover. The universal theme of death and resurrection in the pagan rituals makes them the forerunner of themodern-day Easter.

How did these pagan rituals become our modern-day Easter? As Christianity spread through the Roman empire, religious leaders apparently merged customs andpractices associated with this earlier mythological resurrected god (Tammuz, Attis, etc.) and appliedthem to the Son of God. In this respect Easter followed the pattern of Christmas, being ofcially sanctionedand welcomed into the church. Once again, the leaders of the Roman church, at that time, felt it better toco-mingle the two events, allowing the converts to keep some or all of their pagan traditions. The pagantraditions eventually overshadowed the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

From the following erses you will be able to see how much the Lord detested the sensual andpererted worship of these false gods.

So the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord. They forgot the Lord their God, and served theBaals and Asherahs. Therefore the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and He sold them into thehand of Cushan-Rishathaim king of Mesopotamia; and the children of Israel served Cushan-Rishathaimeight years. ~ Judges 3:7-8

Worry not, nor judge, only educate your ownchildren. And if asked, answer with love, saying you do not celebrate in your own house those thingsof the world and those things rooted in paganism, but strive each day to please your God, love yourneighbor, and rejoice in your Savior, Christ Jesus.

    PART 6: OTHER HOLIDAYS

Aside from the three holidays covered in this study, there are other holidays that should be double-checked

    INTRODUCTION TO THE HOLY DAYS

PART 1: JESUS IS THE FULFILLMENT OF ALL THINGS...INCLUDING GODS HOLY DAYS

As Christians, we should keep those days God has set aside for us and commanded us to keep forever..the seven annual Holy Days, in addition to the weekly Sabbath day, the seventh day of each week. For in the Holy Days is there a greater joy and understanding in the knowing that Jesus Christ is thefulllment of all things! Nothing man has made, nor any holiday ordained by man, compares to theglory of what God has planned for those who love Him...foreshadowed and revealed in the Seven HolyDays of God.

God has given us seven annual festivals, or feast days, on which to worship and honor Him. Byobserving them according to His word, we can understand His ultimate plan for humanity. who shall bring them to actualization...three have passed, one is, and three are to come.

From our Lord ad Saior, Jesus Christ, Gie to Timothy:So then, My children, seek to please My Father in all your ways. For He is also yourFather, as I am your Father. INTRODUCTION TO THE HOLY DAYS

PART 2: THE HOLY DAYS FULFILL GODS PLAN OF SALvATION FOR HUMANITY

The Spring Holy Days include Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, First Fruits and Pentecost. Allof these Holy Days have been fullled through Jesus Christ. He was crucied on Passover (see Part 5Chronology of Jesus Crucixion), later being called our Passover by His apostles (1 Corinthians 5:7). He was buried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, or right before (see Part 5: Chronology of JesusCrucixion), unleavening all mankind through His shed blood (1 Corinthians 5:7). He was raised threenights and three days later on First Fruits (see Part 5: Chronology of Jesus Crucixion), being the rstfruits from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:20, 23). The Holy Spirit, His Spirit, was given at Pentecost, ftydays later (Acts 2:1-4). Those four events fullled the Spring Holy Days (see the chart above).

The Fall Holy Days include the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, Tabernacles and the Last GreatDay. The Last Great Day is included with Tabernacles because it is an extension of the Millennium

(Revelation 11:15 & 22:5). We believe that as the Spring Holy Days were fullled through Christ, alsowill the Fall Holy Days be fullled through Christ, possibly on the day of the Holy Day itself, as werethe Spring Holy Days fullled on the exact day. The next pivotal event in the timeline is the raptureor gathering up of Christs church, which includes all those who truly love Him and know Him, thosewho He sees of Himself in them. We believe this will happen on or around the Feast of Trumpets. TheMessianic fulllment of the Day of Atonement and Tabernacles will immediately follow and will be fullledby Christ, in the same manner...God and Jesus do not change (Malachi 3:6 and Hebrews 13:8).

    THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOvER

    PART 1: INTRODUCTION

Gods ultimate plan in the salvation of mankind begins with, and is built upon, Passover.

The Old Testament Passover (Exodus 12:5-14) was a foreshadowing of events to come and by whatmeans we must be redeemed and forgiven of our sins...Our dlivranc from th pnalty of sin anddath...dath has passd ovr us.

The whole of the Word of God rests solidly o Jesus Christ, beig the Carpeter ad Fashioer, Author ad Fiisher, the Begiig ad the Ed...the Fulllmet of All Thigs.

Jesus was with God at creatio...Jesus is the Begiig of all thigs.

And God said, Lt Us mak man in Our imag, aftr Our liknss. And lt thm hav dominionovr th sh of th sa, and ovr th fowl of th air, and ovr th cattl, and ovr all th arth, and ovr vry crping thing that crpth upon th arth. ~ Gnsis :6

All things wr mad by Him; and without Him, was not anything mad that was mad.~ John :

God, who at sundry tims and in divrs mannrs spak in tim past unto th fathrsby th prophts, hath in ths last days spokn unto us by His Son, whom H hathappointd hir of all things, by whom also H mad th worlds. ~ Hbrws :-

He was there at our formation, our Carpenter and Fashioner, the very One who breathed into us life(Genesis 2:7). So then, by Him, who made us and gave us life, being formed in His image, shall wealso be saved from death, being once again restored to His image....In Him was lif; and th lif wasth light of mn (John :).

    THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOvER

    PART 1: INTRODUCTION cont.

To restore us, once again, Jesus rst had to come in our image and live and die as a man...a living

sacrice for our sins. In this way, Jesus became our Passover, the very Passover Lamb that was slain forthe sins of the world, so death would no longer have power over us.

Purg out, thrfor, th old lavn, that y may b a nw lump, as y ar unlavnd. For vn Christ, our Passovr, is sacricd for us. ~ Corinthians 5:7

Forasmuch as y know that y wr not rdmd with corruptibl things, as silvr and gold, from yourvain convrsation rcivd by tradition from your fathrs, but with th prcious blood of Christ, as of aLamb without blmish and without spot. ~ Ptr :-

Jesus sacrice was a supreme act of loe for humaity. Just before the Passover feast that would see His execution, Jesus said that for this purpos I cam tothis hour...And I, if I am liftd up from th arth, will draw all popls to Myslf (John 12:27, 32). Jesussacrice is the pivotal event in Gods plan to save humanity. Speaking of His certain death, Christ said He,

referring to Himself as the Son of Man, must be liftd up (crucied) even as Moses lifted up the serpentin the wilderness, so that all those who believe in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

For God so lovd th world that H gav His only bgottn Son, that whosovr blivs inHim should not prish but hav vrlasting lif (John 3:14-16).

This important event, Jesus Christs sacrice on the cross, laid the foundation for the remaining annual HolyDays and festivals. It is the most important step in Gods plan.

    THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOvER

    PART 1: INTRODUCTION cont.

The Meaig of the Hebrew Word Pesach, ad Gree Word PaschaThe Hebrew pesach means a passing over, a pretermission, an exemption (Strongs ExhaustiveConcordance - #6453). It is derived from #6453, pasach, to hop, skip over, or spare. The Greek pascha, Strongs #3957, means the Passover, the day, the festival or special sacricesconnected with it. Th KJV incorrctly translatd Passovr as eastr in Acts :, but othrtranslations hav writtn it corrctly.

And whn I s th blood, I will pass ovr you, and th plagu shall not b upon youto dstroy you, whn I smit th land of egypt. And this day shall b unto you for ammorial; and y shall kp it a fast to th Lord throughout your gnrations; yshall kp it a fast by an ordinanc forvr. ~ exodus :-

PART 2: THE PASSOvER OF THE OLD TESTAMENT

After many years of cruel slavery under the Egyptian Pharaoh, God heard the cries of theIsraelites...God hard thir groaning, and God rmmbrd His covnant with Abraham, withIsaac, and with Jacob. And God lookd upon th childrn of Isral, and God had rspct untothm (exodus :-5).God chose Moses to bring forth His people out of Egypt, and God also chose Aaron, Moses

brother, to help Moses accomplish this. Moses and Aaron brought the Lords request, to free theIsraelites, before Pharaoh, but Pharaoh did not respect the Hebrew God, nor did Pharaoh care forthe Israelites; and Pharaoh refused Gods command. Thn th Lord said unto Moss, Now shaltthou s what I will do to Pharaoh. For with a strong hand shall h lt thm go, and with a stronghand shall h driv thm out of his land (exodus 6:). Through many plagues, God demonstratedHis incredible power to Pharaoh, but Pharaoh still did not hearken. The nal plague, cast on Egypt, was the death of all the rstborn of Egypt, both of men and beasts (Exodus 11:5), yet the Lordallowed the Israelites to escape this unscathed...

And th Lord spak unto Moss and Aaron in th land of egypt, saying, This monthshall b unto you th bginning of months. It shall b th rst month of th yar

to you. Spak y unto all th congrgation of Isral, saying, In th tnth day of thismonth thy shall tak to thm vry man a lamb, according to th hous of thirfathrs, a lamb for a hous. And if th houshold b too littl for th lamb, lt him andhis nighbor nxt unto his hous tak it according to th numbr of th souls; vryman according to his ating shall mak your count for th lamb. Your lamb shall bwithout blmish, a mal of th rst yar. Y shall tak it out from th shp, or fromth goats. And y shall kp it up until th fourtnth day of th sam month. THE HOLY DAYS: PASSOvER

PART 2: THE PASSOvER OF THE OLD TESTAMENT (CONT)

The Passoer feast of the Old Testamet commemorates Israels delierace from Egypt. The Old Testament Passover is a memorial to God passing over the houses of the children in Israel whenHe smote the rstborn of man and beast in Egypt. The Passover of the Old Testament commemoratesIsraels deliverance from Egypt. The Passover is not a memorial to the exodus of Israel from Egypt.

...And whn I s th blood, I will pass ovr you, and th plagu shall not b upon you to dstroyyou, whn I smit th land of egypt. And this day shall b unto you for a mmorial; and y shallkp it a fast to th Lord throughout your gnrations; y shall kp it a fast by an ordinancforvr. ~ exodus :-

Obsrv th month of Abib, and kp th Passovr unto th Lord thy God. For in th month of Abib,

th Lord thy God brought th forth out of egypt by night...But at th plac which th Lord thy Godshall choos to plac His nam in, thr thou shalt sacric th Passovr at vn, at th going down of

th sun, at th sason that thou camst forth out of egypt. ~ Dutronomy 6:,6

Passoer ioled puricatio ad preparatio of may thigs, but especially of the heart. In the Old Testament Passover, purication rituals were required for all who partook of the Passoverfeast. But most importantly, we must prepare our hearts to seek God as Hezekiah prayed (versebelow).

For thy could not kp it (th Passovr) at that tim, bcaus th prist had not sanctid thmslvssufcintly, nithr had th popl gathrd thmslvs togthr to Jrusalm...thn thy killd thPassovr on th fourtnth day of th scond month. And th prists and th Lvits wr ashamd, and sanctid thmslvs, and brought in th burnt offrings into th hous of th Lord...for thrwr many in th congrgation that wr not sanctid. Thrfor, th Lvits had th charg ofth killing of th Passovrs for vryon that was not clan, to sanctify thm unto th Lord. For amultitud of th popl, vn many of ephraim, and Manassh, Issachar, and Zbulun, had notclansd thmslvs, yt did thy at th Passovr othrwis than it was writtn. But Hzkiah

prayd for thm, saying, Th good Lord pardon vry on that prparth his hart to sk God, thLord God of his fathrs, though h b not clansd according to th purication of th sanctuary.

And th Lord harknd to Hzkiah, and hald th popl...thn th prists, th Lvits, arosand blssd th popl. And thir voic was hard, and thir prayr cam up to His holy dwlling

plac, vn unto Havn. ~ Chronicls 0:,5,7-0,7

For th prists and Lvits wr purid togthr, all of thm wr pur, and killd th Passovrfor all th childrn of captivity, and for thir brthrn th prists, and for thmslvs. Andth childrn of Isral, which wr com again out of captivity, and all such as had sparatdthmslvs unto thm from th lthinss of th hathn of th land, to sk th Lord God ofIsral, did at, and kpt th Fast of Unlavnd Brad svn days with joy. The Israelites were istructed to teach their childre regardig the Passoer feast. And it shall com to pass, whn your childrn shall say unto you, What man y by thissrvic? That y shall say, It is th sacric of th Lords Passovr, Who passd ovr thhouss of th childrn of Isral in egypt, whn H smot th egyptians, and dlivrd ourhouss....~ exodus :6-7

The Passoer lamb was sacriced ad eate. The importance of the Passover lamb was evident by the specic instructions God gave regarding thefeast. The male lamb was to be without spot or blemish. One Passover lamb was sacriced for each

household unless the household was too small, then they were to share it with their neighbors. Thelambs blood was sprinkled on the houses. Then the lamb was to be cooked a certain way and eatena certain way. God even gave instructions as to how to dispose of what was left after the meal...lnothing of it rmain until th morning; and that which rmainth of it until th morning y shall burnwith r (exodus ).

And thus shall y at it; with your loins girdd, your shos on your ft, and your staff inyour hand; and y shall at it in hast. It is th Lords Passovr. ~ exodus :

Draw out and tak you a lamb according to your familis, and kill th Passovr. ~ exodus :

The Blood of the Passoer lamb saed the Israelites from Gods wrath.God has always required blood sacrices for the forgiveness of sins, allowing His people to escape Hiswrath. In the Feast of Passover, God required the blood of a lamb, without spot or blemish, to save Hispeople from wrath.

And th blood shall b to you for a tokn upon th houss whr y ar. And whn Is th blood, I will pass ovr you, and th plagu shall not b upon you to dstroy you,whn I smit th land of egypt. ~ exodus :

God istructed the Israelites to eep this feast foreer. And this day shall b unto you for a mmorial; and y shall kp it a fast to th Lord throughoutyour gnrations; y shall kp it a fast by an ordinanc forvr. ~ exodus :

Note: God said we shall keep the Passover Feast forever. We are still to keep this feasttoday, according to the New Covenant in Christ, who is the fulllment of Passover. Christhas become our Passover, and we observe this day in remembrance of Him. We are, byno means, to observe Passover as in the Old Testament. This would be to deny Christsincredible sacrice.

PART 3: THE PASSOvER OF THE NEW TESTAMENT

Jesus, Himself, kept the Passover prior to and during His ministry. His parents, His disciples and Hisfollowers also kept the Passover before and after the crucixion.

However, after Jesus crucixion, the followers of Christ now observed Passover as Christ had taughtthem, in remembrance of Him. They did not keep the Passover of the Old Testament but observedthe new Passover, with the new symbols set forth by Christ, of which Jesus Christ had fullled onthe cross.

The Passoer Feast was obsered before Jesus crucixio, by Jesus, His parets adHis followers.

The Passoer Feast was obsered before Jesus crucixio, by Jesus, His parets ad Hisfollowers.

Now th rst day of th Fast of Unlavnd Brad th discipls cam to Jsus, saying unto Him,Whr wilt thou that w prpar for Th to at th Passovr? And H said, Go into th city tosuch a man, and say unto him, Th Mastr saith, My tim is at hand; I will kp th Passovr at thyhous with My discipls. And th discipls did as Jsus had appointd thm; and thy mad radyth Passovr. Now whn th vn was com, H sat down with th twlv...And as thy wrating, Jsus took brad, and blssd it, and brak it, and gav it to th discipls, and said, Tak,at; this is My body. And H took th cup, and gav thanks, and gav it to thm, saying, Drinky all of it; for this is My blood of th Nw Tstamnt, which is shd for many for th rmission of

    sins. ~ Matthw 6:7-0 & 6-

The Passoer was obsered after Jesus crucixio, with the ew symbols set forth byChrist...the new Coeat.

Jesus, Himself, knowing He came into the world not to condemn the world, but to save it by beinga living sacrice for the forgiveness of sin, the Lamb of God, instituted the new Passover symbols weshould observe in remembrance of Him, our Passover (1 Corinthians 5:7). Below we see an exampleof the Corinthians keeping Passover, though disrespectfully, with the apostle, Paul, correcting them andteaching them how to keep it properly, with their hearts in the right place.

Whn y com togthr thrfor into on plac, this is not to at th Lords suppr. For inating vryon takth bfor anothr his own suppr. And on is hungry, and anothr isdrunkn. What? Hav y not houss to at and to drink in? Or dspis y th church of God,and sham thm that hav not? What shall I say to you? Shall I prais you in this? I prais younot. For I hav rcivd of th Lord that which also I dlivrd unto you. That th Lord Jsusth sam night in which H was btrayd took brad. And whn H had givn thanks, Hbrak it, and said, Tak, at. PART 4: JESUS CHRIST FULFILLS THE PROPHETIC OLD TESTAMENT SYMBOLSOF PASSOvER

From the beginning, God required offerings and sacrices for the forgiveness of sins. Yet this wastemporary because the blood of animal sacrices could never sufciently purge the sins of man. OnlyGod, Himself, could purge our sins, once for all time, by sending His own Son to live a sinless life asa man, in our image...sacriced for us...the Just for the unjust...the Righteous for the transgressor...theUpright for the fallen.

Sacric and offring thou didst not dsir, Min ars hast thou opnd. Burnt offringand sin offring hast thou not rquird. Thn said I, Lo, I com. In th volum of th Bookit is writtn of M. I dlight to do Thy will, O My God. Ya, Thy law is within My hart. ~Psalm 0:6-

But Christ bing com a high prist of good things to com, by a gratr and morprfct tabrnacl, not mad with hands, that is to say, not of this building. Nithr byth blood of goats and calvs, but by His own blood H ntrd in onc into th holy

plac, having obtaind trnal rdmption for us. For if th blood of bulls and of goats, and th ashs of a hifr sprinkling th unclan, sanctith to th purifying of th sh,how much mor shall th blood of Christ, who through th trnal Spirit offrd Himslfwithout spot to God, purg your conscinc from dad works to srv th living God?~ Hbrws :-5

The penalty of sin is death. Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, has caused death to pass over us becauseof His sacrice for our sin, having died in our place on the cross.

Purg out thrfor th old lavn, that y may b a nw lump, as y ar unlavnd. Forvn Christ, our Passovr, is sacricd for us. ~ Corinthians 5:7

The great sacrice of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, our Passover, was of such a kind, that only throughthe power of God, by His Messiah, could the sins of mankind be atoned for, by the precious blood of

His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, the perfect Lamb of God without spot or blemish...sacriced forall through His death, even death on the cross...so all might be raised from death, having been freedfrom the power of sin which is death, by the resurrection of Christ Jesus, whereby He abolished sin andconquered death, forever. This is the New Covenant.

And for this caus H is th Mdiator of th Nw Tstamnt, that by mans of dath, forth rdmption of th transgrssions that wr undr th rst tstamnt, thy which arcalld might rciv th promis of trnal inhritanc. ~ Hbrws :-5

Alsoaccording to the New Covenant, we are to partake in the breaking of unleavened bread with ourPassover meal. This signies our acceptance of Jesus Christs sacrice for our sins. For He was ourperfect, sinless sacrice, the unleavened bread, broken for us for the forgiveness of our sins, which isalso signied in the eating of the unleavened bread, that we are now also unleavened, having obtainedforgiveness of our sins through Him.
