and is the vibrant home of a dynamic contemporary arts scene.

The inaugural Glasgow Contemporary Art Fair will

be held at the iconic venue of the Old Fruitmarket

on the 24th 25th and 26th of April 2015. This annual event will be a welcomed addition to an already exciting Scottish arts calendar and will provide visitors with an opportunity to view and buy from a superb range of affordable, original and contemporary art from galleries and artists from across Scotland and the UK.

The fair will feature original art, sculpture, photography and prints with prices ranging from £50-£10,000.

The fair offers galleries and artists the opportunity to exhibit their work at a professional and well marketed event at an iconic centrally located venue delivered by an event management company with a proven track record in the arts.

THE VENUE The Old Fruitmarket is located in the Merchant City of Glasgow situated east of George Square this area offers an oasis of contemporary, Victorian and 17th Century architecture and is where you can find high end dining, buzzing bars, cafes and designer shops.

The venue recently benefited from an extensive refurbishment which has given this iconic venue a new lease of life and an important role in hosting many of the city’s cultural events and celebrations with it recently being one of the key ‘hub’ venues for the Commonwealth Games. Friday 24th April Preview Evening 6pm - 9pm

Saturday 25th April 9.30am – 5.30pm

Sunday 26th April 10am – 5pm

To encourage a wide and engaged audience the entrance fee for the public on Saturday and Sunday will be just £3 per adult with children under 15 free of charge. A free entry children’s arts crèche will be available during the Saturday and Sunday.

The Fridays Preview Evening will offer guests live music from the Ritz Trio with complimentary Champagne and Cocktails flowing from 6pm -9pm.

EXHIBITORS INFORMATION

The GCAF will offer a platform for selling original, affordable and contemporary work from galleries ,artists and up and coming talent providing art buyers ,both first time and collectors, and enthusiasts a wonderful choice of work all under one roof in the centre of Glasgow.

APPLYINGApplications are invited nationwide from galleries, individual artists and artists groups. Along with the Application Form we require example images of artists work (in jpeg format) clearly labelled with your name, title, medium and size.

We welcome also applications from printmakers and print studios. Prints on sale must be authographic prints-that is involving ‘’ the hand of the artist’’ in their production. Original prints-editions of up to 250 are acceptable.

Our Exhibition stands are provided by one of the UKs best known suppliers of shell systems and come complete with the following:

ØFully erected white shell walls of 2.4m height plus

overhead lighting

ØTwo Exhibitor Passes. Additional passes are available.

TERMS AND CONDITIONSØExhibitors cannot sublet their space or any part of it to another party without prior permission

ØExhibitors cannot display the work or services of another artist/gallery without prior permission.

ØAll work on display must be for sale.

ØNo distressed point of sale pricing material is allowed.

ØA deposit of £200 plus vat is required with your application.

If your application is unsuccessful this deposit will be returned in full.

ØIf the event is cancelled we will return your deposit and stand fee in full

but we cannot be held responsible for any additional expenses you may incur.

ØAll stand fees must be paid in full by Feb 28th 2015.

ØExhibitors are responsible for insuring their own work. Public liability only will be covered by GM Events Ltd for the

overall running of the fair

ØExhibition spaces are non transferable

ØA few cards and postcards can be displayed and sold but must not dominate the stand

ØExhibitors must not play music on the stand.
