PAULA DANZIGER She was born in Washington D.C. and raised in New York City She wrote over 25 books Has traveled to more than 15 countries some

of those include… Australia, Bermuda, Canada, France, Holland,

Scotland, Singapore, Spain, Hungary, India, Ireland, London, Mexico, New Zealand and Wales

She lived in New York City and could see the Empire State Building from her apartment

She passed away on July 8th, 2004

Reading, being with friends, shopping, and playing video games

She also collects antique purses, stickers, salt and pepper shakers and bad jokes.

Loves when people feel happy and cared about and hate it when they do not.

Hate peanut butter and grasshopper sandwiches and chocolate-covered pickles.

Pet Peeves: People who always say it is easy to be a kid

people who have no respect for other’s rights and feelings.

What I am proud of… Being a good friend, being a terrific aunt, and her

PAULA DANZIGER AS A WRITER She always wanted to be a writer. She writes about kids because she cares

about them and what happens to them in school and at home.

She feels too that adults and kids share many of the situations and feelings in her books.

She gets her ideas for books from… Imagination Observation Experience

AMBER BROWN Third grader Parents are separating and her father is

moving to a far away place. Justin, her best friend, is also moving away to

a distant state. Amber thinks that since Justin is moving away that she has to start looking for a new best friend. An at the end of the day she still struggles with getting her homework done on time.
