Productive, professional document productionOcé finishing solutions are today’s most effective and productive way to convert printer output into professional documents. Those documents are more convenient to handle and distribute, and they make a more positive impression on the recipient. Apart from that they are easier to read, more efficient to file and more durable in repeated use. The applications shown here are just a few examples. Booklet makingBooklets and brochures in a wide range of formats and sizes are produced easily and efficiently with one of the Océ booklet makers, maximizing the potential of print-on-demand production. The Océ BLM500 Book Maker is a complete book making system that produces high quality square-spined books from 8 to 200 pages.

It combines stitching, folding, spine forming and trimming in a single machine. Finished books have the superior square-spined appearance of a perfect-bound book, but with the security of a stitched spine, making them flat and easy to pack, stack and handle with no risk of loose pages.

The Océ BLM200 Booklet Maker links directly online to an Océ printer and optional modules can be combined to configure virtually any desired solution. It handles booklets of up to 100 pages, with optional trimming to widths from 120 to 220 mm. The job memory enables repeat orders to be produced at the touch of a button.

The Océ iBLM Booklet Maker is a cost-effective solution that is fully integrated into the Océ VarioPrint 4110/4120, and is ideal for occasional and short-run jobs in light or mid production environments. It produces booklets of up to 80 pages with a maximum paper input size of A3. It can also be used for folding single pages in half.

BindingOcé online binding systems produce bound documents immediately after printing, making them ideal for reports, tenders, technical or training materials, catalogs and many other publications.

All systems integrate seamlessly and operate at full printer speed for optimum productivity, making printing and binding a single, efficient operation and labor-intensive offline binding a thing of the past.

The compact Océ DFS10 Document Binder collates printed sheets into sets, adds covers and binds them by melting the glue in the pre-glued spine.

The Océ DFS30 Tape Binder applies a tape strip to the spine of a document containing up to 120 sheets.

The SDD BGB1208 Perfect Binder prints complete books, bound to professional standards, when you need them. This system has various options to handle many different perfect-binding applications.

Folding


FoldingPrinted documents often require folding: it makes sense, therefore, to do this in combination with printing. Various folders can be linked directly to Océ VarioPrint printers so that a finished document is produced.Several fold types are possible and the right one can be selected for a specific job: single fold, gate fold, Z-fold, etc. Combining printing and folding in a single operation often saves time and reduces costs.

PunchingThe GBC PowerPunch adds versatile online punching to the high productivity of the Océ printers. Many different hole configurations can be punched, and dies can easily be changed in just a few minutes. Output sheets are neatly stacked, either straight or offset (for set separation). Subsequent binding (e.g. comb, wire or plastic coil) can then be carried out offline.

The Océ iXDP eXchangeable Die Punch provides flexible, streamlined, on demand document finishing. It can be used with the Océ VarioPrint 4110/4120 and the Océ VarioPrint 6160 Ultra, making it a valuable part of a document production operation for in-house printing, punching and finishing. Similarly, many different hole configurations can be punched, and dies can be easily and quickly changed.


Punching

StaplingThe Océ Set Finisher produces stapled sets ready for distribution. Depending upon the printer model, corner stapling of up to 100 sheets is possible. Dual stapling is also possible on some models. Highly flexible stapling with the Océ iMFS Multi Format Stapler supports smooth production of both simple and complex documents, with virtually no need for operator intervention. It allows single or dual corner or side stapling of larger formats such as A3, Legal or Ledger, including mixed formats, with a capacity of up to 50 sheets (70 sheets: A4/Letter). This convenient integrated system in most cases avoids the need for further manual finishing.

StackingThe Océ integrated High Capacity Stacker allows unattended operation over long periods, producing perfectly stacked document output. It enhances productivity in high volume printing environments, requiring a minimum of operator intervention. Seamless integration with the printing system ensures continuous operation. The stacker automatically adjusts to all the media types and sizes handled by the printer. It can be unloaded without interrupting printing, and an integral bypass allows other finishing options to be connected.

The PowerLift is a useful option to unload and transport stacks of paper. It is ideal for all paper sizes but especially useful for media with a heavier weight or larger size.

Document conversionConverting larger printed media with multiple images into smaller final documents of the desired size, the CEM DocuConverter ensures multi-page document integrity and correct sequencing. The resulting document pages are stacked, and if required offset for set separation. Documents are stacked with excellent quality at up to 300 mm high and continuously unloaded onto an output conveyor which can accept five or six stacks depending on document size.

Roll feedingRoll feeders maximize the efficiency of Océ’s production printers in high volume printing environments. They enable large quantities of printed documents to be produced easily and efficiently in a single operation with minimal need for operator intervention. The Hunkeler and Lasermax Roll Systems roll feeders combine an unwinder, cutter and sheet transport unit, making reloading of paper faster and more efficient. The system cuts to the final sheet size and matches the speed of Océ’s fastest printers, maximizing printing productivity. The continuous paper feed is precisely synchronized with the printer. Continuous monitoring and correction of the cutting position allows the use of preprinted forms. Various options are available to handle different applications.

Océ VarioPrint 6000 Ultra: breathtaking quality at lightning speed The Océ VarioPrint 6000 Ultra Line is based on Océ’s unique, lightning-fast Gemini Instant Duplex technology. Simultaneous printing on both sides of a page at speeds of up to 320 ppm is up to 70 per cent faster than any other systems currently on the market. The Advanced Active Registration technology ensures best-in-class paper registration by perfect positioning of each sheet before printing, without the slightest pause. All systems can be configured with up to 12 paper trays for maximum uninterrupted productivity. Paper Logic takes the guesswork out of paper orientation when using preprinted paper, pre-punched materials and media with tabs. Océ VarioPrint 4110/4120: efficient production printing and copying For best-in-class total productivity, the Océ VarioPrint 4110/4120 handles hard copy, digital and mixed documents on the widest range of media, including tabbed, mixed stock, custom sizes and color inserts. With printing at up to 120 ppm, even when duplexing, these printers bring powerful, versatile printing, copying and scanning to busy printroom and printshop environments. Up to 15,400 sheets can be loaded in seven trays accommodating all sizes and types of media, supporting long, unattended print runs.

Océ VarioPrint 2100/2110 Prémia Class: versatile mid-production system The Océ VarioPrint 2100/2110 Prémia Class delivers a complete print production solution for both document and convergence printing. Its leading-edge technology ensures high speed productivity and exceptional, offset-like document quality. Throughput is up to 105 images per minute, and for productive, unattended print runs the system offers full speed printing of complex documents, a paper-tray capacity of up to 10,000 sheets, media loading while printing, automatic tray switching and a 4,500-sheet output capacity.
