Fitness:

I can break down my muscles (fast/medium/slow) to build strength.

Super-Heroes

• The super team is your BONES and MUSCLES.

Muscles

• Contract (short)

• Extend (long)

Muscle Strength

• The maximum FORCE needed to move.

• Strength comes from muscles….but where do we get our energy from?

• How do we build muscle?

Building Muscle

• Must break down 1st

• Rebuild

Break Down-Recover-Rebuild

• It is ok to STRUGGLE and Break Down. • Don’t Quit. • Start STRONG...RECOVER Finish STRONG !

1st - 5

• 30 second sit-ups • 30 second standing push-ups• 30 second squats• 30 second toe-touches• 180 seconds (60X3 or 60+60+60) walk/jog/run

• Superhero Tag

• Superhero stations:• Take the super scooters and save those who

need rescuing or recovery (PULL).• Take flight on the stability ball and bring

balance to the universe.• Use your super speed to get around the bases.• Super strength to throw planets into the solar

system (basketball)
