COMAND APS

Our innovative multimedia system combines contemporary in-car hi-fi technology with an intelligent hard drive-based navigation system (for navigation throughout Europe). The 17.7 cm colour screen with high-resolution map depiction and dynamic route guidance (takes into account congestion information provided via TMC) ensure optimum driver information. Up to 4 GB of memory offers space for your favourite music in MP3 format. And of course COMAND APS also plays audio or video DVDs. COMAND APS can be operated via the multifunction steering wheel. Available with DVD changer as an option

Audio 50 APS allows you to dial phone numbers via the telephone keypad or can be operated using the multifunction steering wheel. Available with DVD changer as an option

Sound 5

MediaNavigationCenter

The MediaNavigationCenter offers an impressive range of functions: navigation, hands-free and audio/video playback. It is easy to operate via the 15.5 cm touchscreen or the multifunction steering wheel.

The navigation system has map data for 35 European countries. Audible directions in 18 languages, an integral TMC tuner and an option for inputting personal destinations (POI) round off the navigation functions.

The hands-free system with integral Bluetooth® module offers a safe, convenient way to use your phone while on the move.

For your entertainment the system offers, among other things, an MP3-compatible CD/DVD drive and connections in the glove compartment for iPhone/iPod and players with a USB or AUX interface. You can also watch the videos stored on your iPod. 4 x 50 W output

Mobile-phone holders

When it comes to selecting a mobile for your Mercedes-Benz, you’ve never had so much choice. One “click” is all it takes to replace the system’s “intelligent” mobile-phone holder. It takes a matter of seconds and is as straightforward a process as inserting the mobile into the holder itself.

Changing your mobile and even alternating between different models of mobile no longer presents a problem. There are no compromises when it comes to convenience-enhancing telephone technology either.

Mercedes-Benz Bluetooth® telephone modules

The telephone modules are designed to extend the mobile communication system in your Mercedes-Benz, allowing you to use your mobile via the on-board hands-free system without having to place your mobile in a designated holder – you can leave it in your jacket pocket. Which means you’re much less likely to accidentally leave your expensive phone behind in the vehicle. Depending on the on-board equipment, you can choose between the following:

Very easy to operate: via the multifunction steering wheel, your audio system and via the central instrument cluster. Just connect it to your Convenience Telephony system (Code EH4) and start using your phone via your on-board hands-free system.

Cruise control

Cruise control makes the driver’s job easier, especially when it comes to obeying speed limits, but also when driving long distances or towing a trailer. The selected speed is stored and maintained – although manual intervention via the brake and accelerator is, of course, possible at any time

Air conditioning system

Whether summer or winter, you can set your preferred temperature at the touch of a button and it will be regulated by sensor. The air conditioning system also lowers humidity, helping to prevent the windows from steaming up. An integral filter keeps out pollen and dust. Requires specialist fitting by your Mercedes-Benz partner

Auxiliary heating

For pre-heating and stationary heating. The auxiliary heating ensures comfortable temperatures before you’ve even started the engine. Infinitely adjustable, with timer and with remote control as an option. Fitted by your Mercedes-Benz partner

Remote control

Makes it easy to switch the auxiliary heating on and off from a distance of up to 600 m. The heating stays on for a maximum of 60 minutes after it is switched on

Tachograph

The tachograph is mandatory under EU law for vehicles that are registered as commercial vehicles and whose gross weight exceeds 3.5 t. It is also mandatory for vehicles carrying 9 passengers or more. It provides tamper-proof recording of speeds and rest times. The data is rapidly and easily acquired and can be electronically evaluated

Parameterisable special module

The parameterisable special module (PSM) offers an interface which allows separately installed components and systems to access the vehicle’s electronic systems. There are 10 inputs and 20 outputs for retrieving information. This information can range from e.g. light switch settings, open doors and wiper settings to seat occupancy. As soon as the relevant information is defined, it is parameterised. The PSM can be accessed via the co-driver footwell | not pictured |

The new stowage box for your Vito keeps everything you need during your journey within easy reach.
