Replicate

Creating a REPLICATE tooth requires a CBCT (DVT) scan and a two-phase PVS impression or 3-D intraoral scan.The surgeon sends the impressions and scans to NDI along with a laboratory order form specifying the colour of theceramic to be used and any modifications to the standard design. After NDI completes the design, the surgeon reviews and approves it or requests modifications. Once the design is finalised, NDI manufactures the REPLICATE tooth using medical grade titanium and Y-TZP zirconia. The titanium is fused to the zirconia preparation, making it one single piece. This process takes approximately five working days after design approval. NDI delivers the REPLICATE tooth and the REPLICATE Temporary Protective Crown, sterile and ready to place at the extraction appointment.

After the patient’s tooth is extracted, the REPLICATE tooth is inserted and the REPLICATE Temporary Protective Crownis bonded to the adjacent tooth or teeth. There is a gap between the preparation core of the REPLICATE tooth and the REPLICATE Temporary Protective Crown; they do not touch. Additionally, the temporary is designed to be out ofocclusion. These two features prevent early loading of the REPLICATE tooth.

Once the REPLICATE tooth has completely integrated, usually 4 to 6 months after placement, the REPLICATETemporary Protective Crown is removed and a final crown is placed.

How it works

Seamless transgingival joint is tightly sealedagainst bacterial colonisation, meeting the requirements of the ISO 14801 standard; tested for five million cycles at 450N dynamic load to ensure long-term stability and shown to prevent bacterial growth.

The sandblasted, acid-etched and super-hydrophilic titanium surface of the REPLICATE tooth ensures maximum osteoconductivity.

Cytoplast titanium membranes are now available in two thicknesses.

The original 250 micron size provides excellent rigidity and space maintenance and remains a favourite with regular users.
