One activity is to read the Camp Swatara’s trail map to decide which trail(s) to hike. During the hike, students will locate and identify the different trail markers and follow the hiking route on the map. Trail safety before and during the hike will also be discussed.

Each night at camp there is a huge campfire. One night there is the opportunity to cook hot dogs while the other night is devoted to making S’mores.

To the relief of many, students do not sleep in tents while at camp. Sleeping quarters are found in cozy cabins with heat and electricity. Each camper is responsible to bring their own bedding and pillow.
