sight-reading portion where the students studied and played a new piece of music with a seven minute time limit and were judged based on their preparation and performance. The 7th grade band was given an overall Superior rating in their concert and sight-reading portion.

This is the highest score that bands can receive! Thank you to Middle School Band Director, Kimberly Roberson for the photo,

A big THANK YOU to all who made the OM Regional Competition a success. GCT has never hosted OM Regionals before, but we did an amazing job. Mrs. Lisa Horton was our “Site Director”. She had help from administrators, teachers, technology, custodial staff, parents, etc. The visitors to our campus were impressed and bragged on a job well done. From the layout of the tournament to the hospitality extended, she and her team did an amazing job. GCT also had 18 wonderful people who volunteered as Judges and Volunteers so that our teams could compete. I could not be prouder of our school for all the support for the OM Program and ourteams. Thanks you so much. Kem Drake
