    Working in the theatre is

    like writing in the sand

The Written Exam (worth 40% of the total) is

    in 3 sections - we prepare for Sections A & C

Section A is based on your analysis of your

own practical work. This is a compulsory section.

You will be asked four questions about one of

    your practical projects.

During your rehearsal processes, you will be

expected to keep a detailed journal where you

describe and discuss your practical work. Your

exam answers will be based on what you have

written in your journal. The better your journal,

the easier this section of the exam!

Section C is based on a Live Production

you have seen during the course.

You will be asked to answer two questionsabout one production.

You will have the chance to see lots of

productions during the course - take the

    opportunity!

After each theatre trip, we discuss the

production in a forum. That way, we can test and

share our ideas - and you use the forum discussion

    as your revision.

Could you write in detail for 45 minutes about

a production you saw two years ago? No?. Thats

    why the forum is vital!
