I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone in the Yake community a warm and safe holiday season. Have a wonderful winter recess! Prepare for the Cold Weather! Prepare for the Cold Weather! Prepare for the Cold Weather! Prepare for the Cold Weather! The colder weather is upon us and we all know that Michigan winters can be brutal. Please make sure your student(s) is dressed appropriately for the weather. Fresh air and exercise are great for kids. As long as the temperature (and wind- chill) remains above 20°, we will be sending stu- dents outside for recess. This includes going out- side in the snow. So, proper clothing will include boots, hats, gloves, and snow pants. Yes, lunch moms and WATCH D.O.G.S. are welcome to make snow angels and snow people, too. Let’s work to- gether to make sure all of our students are warm and comfortable when they go outside this winter. Santa’s Secret Shop Our PTO could use some additional vol- unteers for Santa’s Secret Shop. Safety News! “Safety of the Month” golden badges were awarded to the safeties listed below for doing outstanding jobs at their posts during the month of November.
