wish everyone in the Yake community a warm and safe

holiday season. Have

that Michigan winters can be brutal. Please make

sure your student(s) is dressed appropriately for the weather. Fresh air and exercise are great

for kids. As long as the temperature (and wind-

chill) remains above 20°, we will be sending stu-

dents outside for recess. This includes going out-side in the snow. So, proper clothing will include boots, hats, gloves, and snow pants. Yes, lunch

moms and WATCH D.O.G.S. are welcome to make

snow angels and snow people, too. Let’s work to-gether to make sure all of our students

are warm and comfortable when they

go outside this winter.

Superintendent’s office will be

sending out an EduLink Message notifying parents when school is closed due to inclement weather or other

situations.
