EXHIBITOR INFORMATION TABLE TOP exhibits are best, but larger exhibits may be accommodated if necessary. Booth assignments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, as registraIons with payment are received. Booths will be assigned on-site via a sign with the organizaIon’s name placed on each exhibitor table.

NOTE TO SPEAKERS:

All speakers are welcome and encouraged to aTend and/or exhibit throughout the enIre conference, and pay the appropriate fee. However, if a speaker is able only to aTend the session in which he or she is presenIng, the registraIon fee is waived. Regardless of inten/on to par/cipate in part or whole, speakers must complete a registra/on form and return it to SWANA-Georgia prior to the conference.

Ken Futch is president of Ken Futch and Associates, an Atlanta based training company that teaches organizaIons and individuals how to recognize and capitalize on opportuniIes. Before founding his company in 1986, Ken was in sales and management with AT&T, where he was recognized for achieving the best results in a group of 6,000 salespeople. Ken's success led to his selecIon as a top trainer at AT&T's presIgious NaIonal Sales School and to being featured in Newsweek magazine. A naIve of the "Tar Heel" state, Ken got his Bachelor of Science degree in business administraIon from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was commissioned as a lieutenant and served three years in the U.S. Army, including a tour in Viet Nam as a combat platoon leader. A past president of the Georgia Speakers AssociaIon and a former Toastmasters InternaIonal humor champion, he delivers more than 100 high-impact programs annually.

Freddie Broome has gained considerable local government management experience during his nearly 25 years in the fire service profession. Before joining the Georgia Municipal AssociaIon (GMA), he served as the Fire Chief for the ciIes of South Fulton and Valdosta. In his current role at GMA, Freddie serves as the Director of Equity and Inclusion. Freddie works across all departments within GMA and externally as a resource to address diversity, equity, inclusion, and organizaIonal effecIveness by providing training, consultaIon and technical services. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Safety Engineering from the University of North Carolina at CharloTe and a Master of Public AdministraIon in Local Government Management from Appalachian State University. He is a CerIfied Public Manager through UGA's Carl Vinson InsItute of Government. Freddie is also a Diversity & Inclusion Licensed Trainer, cerIfied in EmoIonal Intelligence and completed the Workplace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion CerIficate program from the University of South Florida.

Due to the 2019-2021 continuing outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), The Georgia Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA-Georgia) is taking reasonable precautions for the protection of participants at Chapter events. Please sign this Liability Release Waiver to participate in the 2021 Fall Conference & Annual Business Meeting. It is an assumption of risk, release, and waiver of liability.

I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and that the CDC and other public health authorities recommend practicing social distancing.

I further acknowledge SWANA-Georgia and the 2021 Fall Conference & Annual Business Meeting host facility have put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

I further acknowledge neither SWANA-Georgia nor the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) can guarantee that I will not be exposed to or become infected with COVID-19 as a result of participating in the 2021 Fall Conference & Annual Business Meeting. I hereby release, indemnify, and agree to hold harmless SWANA-Georgia, and both organizations’ respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives, harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my spouse, my children, my legal representatives, heirs and assigns, any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property in connection with the 2021 Fall Conference & Annual Business Meeting that may be caused by any act, or failure to act on or by SWANA-Georgia or SWANA, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with the 2021 Fall Conference & Annual Business Meeting.
