Aquesta revista del treball de síntesi, ens ha ajudat molt, en diferents factors. Hem aprèscoses diferents, ens hem hagut d’organitzar, però també, hem reforçat el nostrevocabulari en diferents l lengües, i ens ha servit per a conèixer diferents aspectes delscompanys suecs, i catalans, hem après alguns dels jocs tradicionals de Suècia, moltescoses que abans no sabíem i ara les hem conegut més a fons. També conèixer una micamés el nostre entorn, ja que, a vegades, només veiem el que hem viscut nosaltres, i fentles entrevistes, els diferents articles, hem vist que moltes coses que feien els nostresavis, pares, coneguts, nosaltres les fem diferents, o canviades, o directament ja no lesfem.En general, hem treballat amb un bon ritme, ens hem organitzat de manera que, cadapersona ha fet una part i amb moltes ganes d’obtenir un bon resultat. Hem quedat moltsdies, i ens hem anat ajudant mútuament si alguna cosa no acabava d’anar bé, això ensha permès establir més relació entre nosaltres i poder escriure mil lor per tal de mil lorar lanostra expressió escrita, i poder demostrar bé que hem treballat en grup.Fent aquest treball , hem pogut arribar a diferents conclusions, els jocs catalans han anatcanviant al l larg dels anys, i els jocs catalans i suecs són diferents. El treball col. laboratiuamb els alumnes suecs ha costat. La comunicació per email no és tan fàcil com enspensàvem. A vegades, escrius missatges pensant que t’han entès i el ls ho enteniendiferent. Tot i que la comunicació ha estat difíci l estem contents del resultat.

GAME'S DAYDear editor,I am a reader of this magazine.I want to be grateful of the game’s day thatwas celebrated in Berga. I t was on 25th ofMay 201 0, and in my opinion I think thatthings l ike these must be done more often.

There were fourteen different stal ls, andon every stal l there were different games.There were traditional games, computergames, sports` A lot of different things!There were students of 3rd of ESO (1 3-1 4years old students) from all four highschools that are in Berga. I t was veryfunny, and I think that it was a greatmanner to spend time with our friends andlearn at the same time. We did a nice trip.Al l the other trips are often in museums,so they are often very boring. But this tripwas different.As I said, thank you to prepare a Game’sDay, because I wil l never forget thatexperience. I enjoyed the traditionalgames since there were grandparentsexplaining about their favorite games too.

¡QUEREMOS RENOVACIÓN!Querido director:Me diri jo a usted, y a todos los lectores, paradar a conocer mi protesta.Creo que el ayuntamiento tendría queconstruir alguna plaza en mejor estado quelas que hay en el pueblo, y con el materialnecesario para que los niños y niñas puedansentirse cómodos.Muchos juegan en la calle con el riesgo deque pasan muchos coches, y por el lo, lospadres tenemos que estar vigi lándoles. Creoque a ellos tampoco les gusta que lesestemos vigi lando siempre, también semerecen un poco de libertad.Es peligroso que jueguen en las condicionesque juegan ahora, ya que ellos mismos, sindarse cuenta, pueden hacerse daño,además del riesgo que supone el tránsito decoches y motocicletas.Y por supuesto, los padres, tambiénestaríamos más contentos porquedejaríamos a los niños y niñas solos en laplaza mientras vamos a trabajar.Espero que se tomen medidas muy pronto ysolucionen este problema.Gracias.

What is Catalan bowling?Catalan bowling is a tradition gameor sport from Catalonia.

What is this game about?The game consists on throwing thebitl lots (it is what competitors use toknock down the bowls) againstsome bowls situated in a distancewith the intention of throwing them.

What do we need?The material needed are: sixCatalan bowls and three “bitl lots”.

Who can play it?Everybody can play this game, oldand young people. Men throw froma line painted further, and womenfrom the 2nd line and if there arechildren from the 3rd l ine. Theyfol low the same rules than someyears ago.

How can we play it?Every game consists of nine throwsfor every player divided in threerounds of two throws. In every game,you can throw from one to three“bitl lots”, you can choose it.The bowls are placed in two rows ofthree columns separated betweenthem.

Who wins?The winner is who in a game makesmore points, bearing in mind that ifyou throw a bowl you have got apoint, two bowls two points, threebowls three points, four bowls fourpoints, five bowls five points and sixbowls six points.When you throw five bowls it is cal led“BITLLA (in English is Bowl)”,because it is the best punctuationthat you can obtain; and if you throwsix bowls it is cal led “LLENYA (inEnglish is wood)”.

¿Que es la rayuela?La rayuela es un juego tradicional quese juega en diferentes partes delmundo. Hay formas diferentes de jugara la rayuela.

Orígenes:La rayuela es un juego muy antiguo,empezó a practicarse durante la épocadel Imperio Romano. Se dice que lossoldados hacían unos ejerciciossemejantes para entrenarsemil itarmente, que con el paso de losaños, fueron imitados, simplificados, yfinalmente adaptados para los críos. Apartir de entonces, se ha convertido enuno de los juegos más comunes entrelos niños y niñas.

¿En qué consiste el juego?Los jugadores tienen como objetivo serlos primeros en dar la vuelta entera atodas las diversas categorías, es decir,cuando han completado toda la serie.La partida empieza cuando el primerjugador tira la piedra en la primera

casil la. Si acierta, debe saltar a patacoja saltando por todas las casil lasexcepto la que contiene la piedra, yantes de regresar, tendrá que coger lapiedra. What is this game about?There is one player who is alone and therest of the players sit on the floor, onebehind the other and they are joinedbecause they are taking their waists.The player who is alone is cal led farmworker, so he has to pull up the rest ofplayers who are called onions. The rest ofthe players are together sitting on the floorand one takes the waist of the other.When the farm worker has pulled out the

first onion, the first onion wil l help thefarmer to pull out the other onions. Thegame is finished when all onions havebeen pulled up.

Who can play? When and where can youplay this game?Everybody can play even if you are veryyoung or if you are an adult. We can playeverywhere, whenever we want becausewe don’t need any special tool.Here you can see a photo.

-¡Hola abuelo! ¿Cómo estás?-Muy bien, gracias.

-Quiero hacerte algunas preguntassobre deportes y juegos. ¿A quéjuegos solías jugar cuando eras unniño?-Solíamos jugar a “brännboll”, que escasi como “baseball” en EstadosUnidos pero es más suave. Más tardesolíamos jugar a ”bandy” durante elinvierno. Pero no teníamos muchotiempo ya que había un montón detrabajo en el hogar, por ejemplorecoger bayas y llevar la madera. Alos 21 años empecé a jugar al fútbolen un club que se llama Överums IK.

-¿Qué prefieres: escuchar la radio over deportes en la televisión?- Ver deportes en la televisión.

-¿Has seguido los Juegos Olímpicosen Vancouver?- Si, bastante.

-¿Cómo crees que fue para lossuecos?-Bien, logramos muchas medallas.

-Which games did you often play whenyou were younger?-When I was 1 0 years old, we usuallyplayed football , fronton with our hand,catch others, jump with a rope. Weplayed to marbles and rutl les. Rutl leswere a funny game. A rutl la was ahoop that we drove with a stick of iron. .And in the summer when it was hot,my friends and I went to swim in theriver.

-Where did you use to play?-We went to play in the streets and inthe squares of the town. All thesquares and streets were unpaved.Since the squares were unpaved, theywere good to play to “rutl les”.We played “fronton” in a big wall of thevil lage. We hardly ever played insidethe house. We only played tablegames indoors.

-Did you play boys and girls together,or did you play separated?-We usually played separated; boyswith boys and girls with girls. I t wasreally unusual that in our free time weplayed together. But in some games,for example, jumping with a rope weoften played together.

-Do you think that children havemuch more facil ity to obtain morematerial to carry out a game?-Everybody knows that nowadayschildren have more facil ities to havesome games. We had not thisfacil ity when we were young.We only had some balls, a piece ofrope and some bikes.And the truth is that we had a lot offun! ! !

-Do you think that yours grandsonsand yours grandaugthers play thesame games that you played whenyou were young?-The sames games I don’t think so,but they are sometimes very similar.Some of the games are the samesuch as the football , to catch, jumpwith a rope. . .But the games thatthey play inside the house are notthe same because, now they havecomputers, TV. . . and we did nothave any thing l ike that.

-Do you believe that some traditionalgames have been substituted by thenew technologies?-I think so.

-Final ly, do you think that the gameshave changed during the years? Doyou believe it is good?-The games in the street haven’tchanged during the years, they arereally similar. But the games insidethe house they have changed a lot.I think that it is good that the gameschange during the years because inthis form we learn about new games.But I don’t think that is good thatchildren spend so many hours infront of the TV or playing in thecomputer I think that is better playingin the street.

- Which games did you often play whenyou were younger?-When I was young in the school, I usedto play:Pixi; catch boys against girls; jump withan elastic band. These games are sti l lplayed now.But when I was young, I usually playedgames such as marbles, but this gamewas not always fashionable, there weresome months that we played and othersthat we didn’t play; a strong horse, tojump behind the back of anotherboy/girl ; to harvest onions and typicalsports such as: vol leyball , footbal l ,basketball`We also played indoor games such asthe labyrinth which consisted on drivinga ball through boxes without fal l ing itinto some holes; a puzzle with volume,making shape with 3D; any gamerelated with dolls; I often diguised ofwitch or anything I wanted, and I alwaysdanced; among other games.

- Where were you used to play?-I used to play at home, and I alsoplayed in the friends’ home; but,especial ly, in the summer, I often went inthe park and I played with the neighbourchildren. When the class finished, Ialways played in the playground, and Iremember the brake in the school Iplayed there too.

- Did you play boys and girls together ordid you play separated?-In the school, it depended on thegames. We sometimes played together,we sometimes didn’t.

- When you were young, where did youspend more hours, in the street or inyour house?

-¿Qué hace hoy en día para tener una vidasaludable y estar en forma?-Voy a caminar, en bicicleta (en elgimnasio) y también hago “bodypump”, quees una forma de entrenamiento de fuerza.

-¿Te gusta mirar deportes o juegos en latelevisión?-Sí, si tengo tiempo me gusta.

-¿Qué te gusta mirar entonces?-Me gusta el atletismo, el fútbol y el esquí.Este invierno he seguido los JuegosOlímpicos.

Every time there aremore children that don’t practise sport.Now, they spend a lot of time playingcomputer without practising sport, and itis very bad. . . Working in a school I seethat clearly. There are some childrenthat say to me that they practise sport,but they do it with wii !

-Final ly, do you think that the gameshave changed during the years? Do youbelieve it is good?-Honestly I think that traditional gamesdon’t change and they won’t change. I t isthe same game but they change thename and some of the rules. Now, withour school, we are doing an exchangewith a school of Charcai, and we haveseen that the games that here we calltraditionals, in Charcai these games alsoexist but with a different name.

-¿A qué juegos solías jugar cuando eraspequeño?-Ahora juego al fútbol y a “floorball”. Ycuando era pequeño jugaba a golf,ping-pong y también a balonmano.

-¿Dónde solías jugar?-Jugaba a ping-pong en espaciosinteriores, a golf en una cancha de golfy balonmano en un campo debalonmano.

-¿Jugabais niños y niñas juntos oseparados?-Juntos.

-¿Cuál era tu juego favorito?-El fútbol.

-¿Piensas que los niños tienen másfacil idad para obtener material parajugar?-Sí, lo pienso.

-Finalmente, ¿piensas que los juegoshan cambiado a lo largo de los años?¿Piensas que es bueno?-Sí, lo pienso. Pienso que los juegoshan cambiado mucho, pero no lo puedoasegurar porque aún soy un pocojoven.

- What type of games do you usuallyplay?-With my friends, we usually play:-Basket-Football- To play hide and seek.-Or sometimes we go out to the vil lage.When I am alone at home:-I watch the TV.-I play the computer.-I play with the Nintendo DS.

-Where do you usually play thisgames?-When we go to play football , we go atthe school’s courtyard. When we wantto play basketball , we go at ourvi l lage’s pavil ion. To play hide andseek, we play it in the street. And whenwe want to play with Nintendo,computer or watch TV, we go home.

-Do you play boys and girls together ordo you play separated?-I t depends on the games, but weusually play together. But when boyswant to play something that girls don’tagree, girls go to play another thing, orthe other way round.

-Do you usually play inside or outside?-When it is cold, we play at home.Sometimes I watch the TV or I play thecomputer, and some of my friendssometimes come home to play withme. Every day in summer I go to theswimming pool or in the street with myfriends.

-Which is your favourite game?-The game I l ike the most, or the sportI love the most is skiing. I l ike playingbasketball too. In my free time with my

friends and I often make up somegames, and then we play them. I l ikethese games a lot too.

-Do you use all the games that youhave?I don’t use all the games that I have. Alot of them are in the cupboard.

-Do you think that you have moregames that you use?My grandpa sometimes tel ls me aboutthe games and how he played themwhen he was a child. I think I ’m verylucky of having all the games that I ’vegot. But I also think that I might alsoenjoy with fewer games.

-Do you think that you play the samegames that your grandpa?I don’t think so, because we sometimesplay with computers, and they didn’thave them. But some games are thesame.

-Do you spend more time in yourhouse?I don’t think so, because I usually goout with my friends. But sometimes Iwatch TV when I go out and do betterthings.

-Do you think it's better to play outside?I think it’s better to go out and enjoy butthe indoor games are also good whenthe weather is not good.

Hem realitzat un seguit d’entrevistes adiferents persones que han col•laborat enrespondre un seguit de preguntesrelacionades amb el tema que tractem,els jocs tradicionals.Les preguntes, les hem fet a persones dediferents edats i cultures, ( Amb l’avid’una noia sueca, el pare d’un alumnesuec, una professora catalana, l ’avi d’unanoia catalana, i amb un nen petit català. )

Hem arribat a un seguit de conclusions:- No sempre s’han jugat als mateixosjocs, ni de la mateixa manera, hi hempogut comprovar que, molts dels jocs queens han esmentat els suecs, com ara; elbandy, el kubb,` entre d’altres, ni tantsols sabíem que existien.- Són ben diferents dels que juguem i

jugaven aquíTot i que, hi ha algun joc comú, lamajoria de jocs, no coincideixen.

Per altra banda, hem pogut demostrarmitjançant les enquestes i les entrevistesque hem realitzat al centre, que els nois inoies adolescents, a diferència de lespersones adultes i amb les de terceraedat, presenten un seguit de canvis, jaque, abans, es jugaven a molts més jocsde taula, i de carrer que ara, és a dir, elsjoves ja no acostumen a jugar tant alsjocs tradicionals, com ho feien els nostresavis, ja que, cada vegada des de méspetits, juguen a videojocs, i ambl’ordinador.

RREPORT TOY MUSEUM OFCATALONIA FIGUERESThe Toy Museum in Figueres (north ofCatalonia) helps to remember the historyof the toys of your childhood, or the one ofyour grandparents, great-grandparents, oreven the one of your child.The Museum was opened in 1 983 and hasa collection of more that 1 0000 toys, 5000of which are on display: model theatres,cardboard horses, make-believe kitchens,Meccano sets, bal ls, dol ls, spinning tops,clockwork tin toys, cars, aeroplanes,Scalextrics sets, trains, toys for the blind,chi ldren’s scooters, tricycles, teddy bears,

goose games, trams, model circuses,puppets, packs of cards, robots, sai l ingships and many of the other fondly-remembered toys that playtimes of yourchildhood.In the museum, there are exposed toysthat had been form personalities as knownas the Anna Maria and Salvador Dalí,Federico García Lorca, Joan Miró, JoanBrossa, Quim Monzó, Ernest Lluch, AntoniTàpies, Salvador Puig Antich, PascualComelade, Terenci Moix, Brederic amat,Pere Casaldàl iga. . . Vam anar al museu i el vam visitar i tambévam tenir la oportunitat de poderentrevistar alguna persona vinculada ambel museu, i així poder compara amb lesentrevistes ja fetes. Varem tenir l ’honor depoder entrevistar, a la muller del JosepMaria Joan i Rosa, Pilar Casademont.

-Des de quan funciona el museu?-Primer teníem una exposició de joguetsamb el meu marit, que la varem començara fer, per al là l ’any 1 982. Després, varemdecidir fer el museu, inaugurat el 1 2 dedesembre del 1 998, i des de aleshores lagent ens ha anat portant joguet, i nosaltrestambé hem anat engrandint el nostrecol•lecció.

-Amb quina final itat es va fer el museu?-La intenció no era fer un museu. El meumarit des de sempre que col•leccionajoguet, és una afició. Recull tot d’objectesantics o de diferents viatges que fem,amics que ens els donen d’altres països, ode la seva infància. . . fins el punt en quevarem decidir ensenyar la nostra exposicióa tothom qui la volgués veure.

-Hi passa molta gent al l larg de l’any?-Molts, moltíssim! Sobretot famíl ies: avis,avies, pares, mares amb nens. Em famolta gràcia quan els nens els hi diuenamb els pares o els avis: “Em pensavaque eren l letjos els jocs de quan eretspetit”; o quant els pares o avis diuen: “Johavia tingut aquest joc!”. Són cosetes queet criden l ’atenció i fan gràcia.

-Quin és el joc que et va cridar mésl’atenció, o que et va fer més gràcia tenir-lo?

-Tots són jocs que de petits uns o altreshavíem tingut, que tampoc tenen res enespecial, però que et porten molts bonsrecords de la teva infància. Però sensetreure valor els altres jocs que tenim, emva fer molta i l•lusió poder exposar l ’os del’Anna Maria Dalí o el cavall de cartó del’Ernest Lluc, coses puntuals que et fanmolta gràcia.

-Quina anècdota és la més curiosa que lihagi passat?-Una historia que no té gaire res enespecial, però que a mi, em va impactar,va ser un dia en que uns turistes, vanvenir al museu, encara era al museuantic. Tot anar observant vaig veure quefaltava un joguet, un mono que ens haviaregalat un amic. No té molt valor, però siun valor especial. En adonar-me, ja hovaig veure clarament que aquells turistesl ’havien agafat. Els hi vaig demanar queme’l tornessin, i els hi vaig haver de dirque marxessin, em sabia greu que hihagués gent que s’atrevís a robar unjoguet, que mira que és senzil l , però hopodrien haver demanat, que podríemhaver arribat fins i tot a un acord.

-Quin era i quin és el seu joc preferit?-El joc de l’oca sempre serà el meupreferit, des de sempre que m’haagradat.

Fuimos al museo y lo visitamos, tambiéntuvimos oportunidad de poder entrevistaralguna persona vinculada con el museo, yasí poder comparar con las entrevistas yahechas. Tuvimos el placer de poderentrevistar, a la esposa de Josep MariaJoan y Rosa, Oilar Casademont.

-¿Desde cuándo funciona el museo?-Primero teníamos una exposición dejuguetes con mi marido, que lacomenzamos hacer en el año 1 982.Después, decidimos hacer el museo,inaugurado el 1 2 de diciembre del 1 998, ydesde entonces la gente ha traídojuguetes, y nosotros también hemoscompletado nuestra colección.

-¿Con qué final idad se hizo el museo?-La intención no era hacer un museo. Mimarido, desde siempre, coleccionajuguetes, es una afición. Recoge todo deobjetos antiguos o de diferentes viajes quehemos hecho, amigos que nos dan juegosde otros países, o de su infancia` hastael punto que decidimos enseñar nuestraexposición a todo el mundo que la quisieraver.

-¿Pasa mucha gente a lo largo del año?-¡Mucha, muchísima! Sobretodo famil ias:abuelos, padres con niños. Me hacengracia cuando los niños hablan con suspadres y les dicen:” ¡Me pensaba que eranfeos los juguetes de cuando eraspequeño!”; o cuando los padres o abuelosdicen: “¡Yo tenía este juego!”.Son cosasque hacen gracia.

-¿Cuál es el juego que te l lama más laatención, o que te hace más gracia tenerloen el museo?-Todos son juguetes que de pequeñosunos o otros habíamos tenido, quetampoco tienen nada en especial, peroque te recuerdan buenos momentos de tu

infancia. Pero, un juego que me hizomucha ilusión tenerlo, y poder esponerlo,fue el oso de la Anna Maria Dalí, i elcaballo de cartón de Ernest LLuc, objetospuntuales que te hacen mucha gracia.

-¿Cuál es la anécdota más curiosa que tehaya ocurrido?-Una historia que no tiene nada enespecial, pero que me impacto unpoquito. Era un día en que unos turistas,estaban visitando el museo antiguo. Me dicuenta que faltaba un juguete, un monoque nos había regalado un amigo. Viclaramente que aquellos turistas lohabían cogido, y les pedí que me lodevolviesen y que se marcharan. Mesentí un poco mal, pero me dolía más quehubiese gente que robara hasta juguetessencil los y corrientes; me lo pudieronhaber pedido, ¡que podríamos haberl legado a un acuerdo!

-¿Cuál era y cuál es su juego preferido?-El juego de la oca, siempre será mipreferido, desde siempre que me hagustado.
