Why do we say sorry?

We say sorry becausewe havehurt someone we love.

Sacrament of Reconciliation.Jesus gives the priest the power to

forgive our sins.

When we confess our sins to thepriest, we are actually confessing toJesus.

When the priest forgives us, it is theloving forgiveness of Jesus that we

receive.

How can you be sure that God

really forgives us?yWe can be assured that our sinsare forgiven because God is aloving and a forgiving Father.

yHe loves and cares for us even

when we turn away from Him.

When we are forgiven,

yHe calls us to forgive others too.

yWhen someone hurts us, we must tryto forgive the person who has hurt us.

yWe show that we forgive this person bysaying, Its alright.Then we becomefriends with the person once again.

yForgiveness is a gift from God. It ismeant to be shared with others.

or to forgive others, we need topray and ask the help of the Holy

Spirit.yGod also gives us His grace for usto be able to say sorry and to

forgive others.
