Modifying A Pre-Designed TemplateThe suggested templates are the simplest way to create your personalized layout. We strongly recommend starting from one of our suggested templates as they are pre-designed with all the necessary text fields and with appropriate fonts and alignments. Even if you don’t wish to use all the text fields or the exact template layout, it is often easier to modify a template than to start from a blank screen.

Getting Started 1. After logging in, click on the “Personalize Postcard” tab 2. Click the “Go” Button next to “Create / Change My Personalized Postcard”

Change the Template Photo to Your Own Photo 1. Click the sample photo to select it. An object is selected when you can see the bounding box and the “handles” at the sides and corners.

2. Click the “Delete Image” Button at the top left of the screen. 3. Click the Image Button. 4. Choose a previously uploaded image from the My Images Section or Choose the Upload Tab a. If uploading, browse your computer for the correct file.

TIP! Photos must be JPG or PNG format, and should be at least 300 dots per inch and in CMYK color mode. Photos or images less than 300 d.p.i. may appear grainy or fuzzy. Images in other formats (.bmp, .tif, etc) will not be accepted

Upload Additional Photos, Logos or Images 1. To upload an additional photo or logo, click on the Image Button. 2. Select the Upload Tab and Click Browse to browse the files on your computer. 3. Select the appropriate file from your computer. 4. The image will now appear in your “My Images” folder.

5. Click the image and it will appear on your layout.

6. Select the image and drag the corner to resize it. 7. Click and drag the center box of the image to move it to the correct position.

2. To resize an image, click on the image and then click and drag any of the handles that appear on the bounding box.

3. To delete an image or photo, select the image or photo and then click either the scissors (cut) icon or the “Delete Image” button.

Edit Template Text Fields 1. You can change text in any of the existing boxes by typing your text in the Input Text field on the right side of the screen

TIP! Be sure to use the scroll bar to scroll down to view all available Input Text fields.

2. Alternatively, you can select the text box you want to change and type the text directly into the text box.

TIP! If the text you are entering is longer than the current text in the box, be sure to enlarge your text box so that all text is displayed.

3. To Change the look of the text by using any of the text editing features listed above, highlight the text you wish to edit, and make your changes by selecting your choice from the drop down menus above the editing screen.

Available Font Editing ToolsNote: the features below will only be visible when working with text

Font - Choose from over 20 different fonts for your personalization Size - Change your text size from 7pt to 72pt. Make sure to adjust your text box for larger sizes so that all your text is visible. Text Color - Change the color of your font to match your design. Special Characters - Click here and look through all the extra symbols that are available for use on your personalization. Bold - Make your text standout with by adding a bold feature. Italics - Add a little style to a simple text by adding italics to your fonts. Underline - Underline is also available for your use. Shadow - A shadow can also be added to your text. Alignments - Click on the different types of alignments so that you can change where the text will come up in the text box. Text Background Color - This option gives you the availability to change the text box color. Delete Text - This will get rid of the text box you are working in.

Other Online Designer ToolsCut – Deletes the selected object but retains in the clipboard to paste at a later timeCopy – Copies the selected object to paste at a later time.Paste – Inserts a previously cut or copied objectZoom In – This will allow you to enlarge the view of your layout.Zoom Out – Just the opposite of Zoom In this will make your layout appear smaller.Reset – If you have zoomed in or out and would like to go back to the standard look then click this icon to reset the view of your layout.Fit to Screen – This will fit your layout view to the designer screen’s edges. Send to Back – Places the selected object or text box behind all other objects and text boxes (bottom layer)Send Back One – Places the selected object one layer below its current placement.Bring Forward One – Places the selected object one layer above its current placement.Bring To Front – Places the selected object above all other objects and text boxes (top layer).Opacity – Makes text or images “see-through.”

Add or Delete A Text Field 1. If you need to add an additional text field click the Text Icon on the left side of the screen. Type your text in the blank field, label the field with a name (i.e. Pager) and click “Add Text Box” 2. Resize and move the text box to the appropriate location 3. New Text Boxes appear with a default Font Selection of 12pt Arial Black.

TIP! Our templates use Calisto font if you wish to change the new text field to match.

4. Once the new text field is created, it can be edited or deleted at any time. 5. To delete a text field, click to select the field and click the scissors (cut) icon or click the “Delete Text” button on the top right of the screen.

Rotate A Text Field 1. Click on the text field you wish to rotate 2. Hover your mouse pointer over one of the corner handles until the cursor changes to a double curved arrow.

3. Click and drag to rotate the text box.

Align Text Boxes 1. Select one text box and move it to the correct location. 2. Hold down the SHIFT key and select the remaining text boxes you wish to align. The bounding box will expand to include all selected text boxes. 3. Click the appropriate Alignment button (center, left, right, bottom, middle, top)

TIP! You can also align items by using “Guides.” To create an alignment guide click on the horizontal or vertical ruler and “drag” a line down into the work space. These blue lines will not display or print on the final layout.

Insert a Stock Image or Designation LogoThe Online Designer already has many standard designation and real estate logos preloaded into our Stock Images. If the logo you want is not available, you may upload it into your My Images folder.

1. Click on the Image button on the left side of the screen

2. Click on the Stock Images tab

3. Select from Image Groups on the Left Side of the window a. There may be more than one page of logos to display b. Click the page numbers or arrows to display additional pages 4. Click the logo you wish to add 5. The logo appears in the center of the screen a. To move the logo, click the image and drag to the appropriate location b. To resize, click on the image and drag any of the handles 6. Logos appear on a white background. a. If placed over a color background, logos will appear surrounded by a white box. b. To place a logo “behind” text or other images, select the logo and click the “Send To Back” button. c. If you want a logo with a transparent background, you must upload a transparent PNG file.

TIP! Logo images on screen appear in a “Low Resolution” view which may appear to be fuzzy or grainy. In the final version, the logo will appear in “High Resolution”. You will be able to see the high resolution version after clicking “Save & Approve”.

Start Over From ScratchIf you would like to return to the original template withoutsaving your current layout, click the “Start Over” button.

Save Your Layout for LaterIf you are not finished with your layout, but wish to save your progress to return to at a later time, click “Save Design.” When you return to the Online Designer, click the Saved Work Icon to edit your saved layout. Please note that your new layout is not complete until you click the “Save & Approve” button.

Save & Approve Your Final Layout 1. Proofread all your text and layout carefully. 2. When complete, click the “Save & Approve” button. 3. If your proof is complete, enter your initials into the field and click “approve.

Edit A Saved LayoutYou can edit a “Saved & Approved” layout at any time 1. After logging in, click on the “Personalize Postcard” tab 2. Click the “Go” Button next to “Create / Change My Personalized Postcard” 3. Click the “Go” Button next to “Launch Online Designer” 4. Your current approved layout will automatically appear. 5. When finished editing you must click “Save & Approve” to initiate the use of the new layout on your personalized postcard
