Dynamic Edge LED improves contrast and overall picture quality over other Edge LED systems by dividing the LED backlight into regions, each of which can be dimmed in real‐time to match what is shown onscreen, for a wider contrast within a single scene.

The resulting picture is presented with brighter whites, deeper blacks and improved shadow detail. In addition, improved light guides and diffuser layer ensure uniform brightness across the panel.

Individual sections of the LED backlight turn on and off in conjunction with what is being shown on screen.

Traditionally, placing a glass screen in front of an LCD panel would also leave a layer of air between the panel and the glass. OptiContrast replaces this air layer with a layer of special optical‐grade resin specifically formulated to match the optical properties of the glass. HDMI inputs into an analog signal, and then send that to an analog amplifier. This amplified signal drives the speakers and produces the noise that you hear. This arrangement has several drawbacks. First, digital to analog conversion is a source of distortion and generates significant heat. Not only does this waste electricity, but heat is harmful to electronics over long periods of time.

Because the S‐Master amplifier itself performs digital‐to‐analog conversion instead of the TV’s audio circuit, there is no need for extra distortion‐causing circuitry, so sound is remarkably clean and clear.

Face Detection.Using technology similar to that of Sony Cyber‐shot® cameras, the camera scans the room for faces and motion If no one is facing the television for a preset durationroom for faces and motion.
