Bright Riders School, Abu Dhabi organized its first Graduation day ceremony at its school premises on

17th February 2016. The Chief Guest for the evening was Padmashree Dr. B. R Shetty. The other

dignitaries present were Ms.Seema Shetty, Mr.Sudhir Shetty, Mr.Sarvotam Shetty, Mr.Ravi Rai,

Mr.Pradeep Rai, Ms. Shafali Tandon,Ms.Rithiba Mehta, Mr.Anil Mehndiratta, Chief Strategy officer of

BRS Ventures, and Dr.Thakur Mulchandani, Principal of Sunrise School. The esteemed guests of honor

were welcomed and accompanied to the auditorium by Asst. Head Boy & Asst.Head Girl, along with the

Principal, Vice Principal, and Supervisors.

The function commenced on a solemn note, with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the

chanting of Sanskrit slokas and the customary lighting of the lamp, which symbolized the auspicious

beginning of the program. The singing of the UAE National Anthem was followed by a welcome dance.

Principal, Dr. Rishikesh Padegaonkar in his welcome address congratulated all the students and parents.

and asked the students to aim high and work for it. The speeches by the Head boy and the head girl

followed next in the program wherein they shared their fond experiences and thanked all the teachers

for what they are now.

Then the Chief Strategy Officer, Mr.Anil Mehndiratta addressed the audience by beginning with a sloka

and stated that he was impressed by the views expressed by Head Boy and Head Girl. He wished all the

students good luck and advised to carve and sculpt their life’s ambition.

The moment all the 12th graders were waiting for finally arrived – the conferment of the scrolls – the

soul of the convocation ceremony wherein the school confers the honor of achievement to all the

outgoing students of class12 who will walk out of the portals of the school, equipped with all the skills

they need to face the world outside.

In his address the Chief Guest , Padmashree Dr.B R Shetty exhorted the students to be happy, self reliant

and to believe in themselves.

Then came the solemn moment the ‘Oath to the alma mater’ was administered to the outgoing students

of grade XII.

Passing of the light of knowledge was another moment of grandeur when amidst dimmed lights the

candles were lit and passed on from students symbolically suggesting the passing of the light of

knowledge through the generation.

After this the students made a solemn pledge to their parents.The illumination of the school logo lent an

austere grandeur to the program making each heart swell with pride for the alma mater.

The highlight of the day’s program was the announcement of graduation by Chief Guest , Padmashree

Dr.B R Shetty .The formal program concluded with the vote of thanks being proposed by the Vice

Principal, Mr.Dilip Sharma .

In this way the curtain came down on one of the most memorable days in the annals of BRS.
