  • WelcomeThank you for fundraising for Great Ormond Street Hospital Childrens Charity.

This is a really exciting time to be fundraising for us and were really pleased that youre involved. Every year we need to raise 50 million to help rebuild and refurbish Great Ormond Street Hospital, buy vital equipment and fund pioneering research, and this is only possible with your support. This toolkit has everything you need to get you started, and were always here if you have any questions.

    Thanks again for your support.

Meet MatthewMatthew was diagnosed with severe primary pulmonary hypertension when he was just 18 months old. His condition was managed for a few years with the use of drugs via a line straight into his heart. Unfortunately, his condition gradually deteriorated and the only option left was for him to have a transplant.

He had a double lung and heart transplant in 2007 and it was a complete success. This means he now only travels up to the hospital for check-ups and annual reviews.

Matthew is now seven-and-a-half and at school full time. We are one very grateful family to the fantastic teams up at Great Ormond Street Hospital said dad Christian.

Heres how your fundraising could help:

100 could pay for 10 nights upkeep for one of our parent accommodation rooms. When children are poorly, they just want to be close to mum and dad.

360 could pay for three flowmeters, helping to regulate the flow of oxygen and air to babies and children.

798 could pay for a wheelchair and its accessories.

2,315 could pay for pain relief syringe pumps. They provide continuous pain relief medication to the children in cardiac intensive care.
