The tools within the Nexans Utility Tool Kit have been specially selected to ensure, that with the correct usage, the preparation of medium voltage power cables can be easily undertaken. It contains all the necessary tools required in order to prepare both bonded and peelable semi-conductive screened cores.

The Utility Tool Kit is supplied in a hard wearing, foam filled case which ensures, if properly used, that the contents will be protected from damage ensuring a long and trouble free service.

The SCS Semi-con Scoring Tool is used to make precision score depth cuts on high voltage power cables with strippable semi-con for the purpose of proper semi-con removal. The cable size range is 8 mm to 45mm (.31 - 1.8”) diameter over the semi-con screen. The tool scoring depth is up to 4 mm (.16”).
