Former Minnedosan, Aaron Hutton, wowed audience members with his vocal range at
a hometown concert at the Minnedosa United Church last Friday evening.
Aaron was accompanied on the grand piano by Chris Kayler.

he Minnedosa UnitedChurch was flled tocapacity last Friday eve-ning, September 23rd,
when the Minnedosaand District Foundationhosted T eres No PlaceLike Home, a concert per-ormed by Aaron Hutton.Hutton (23) grew up inMinnedosa and gradu-ated rom the University o
Manitoba last spring witha Bachelors Degree in Mu-sic and a Voice Major.
Accompanied by pia-nist Chris Kayler, Huttonsprogram included a wide
variety o musical genres,rom devotional and clas-sical pieces to contem-porary arias and musicaltheatre. During the inter-mission, CS Grade 5 stu-dent Jamie Lee astoundedthe audience with his clas-sical piano recital. A coeeand dessert reception ol-lowed the perormances,
at which time guests wereable to talk with the artists.Music has always been alarge part o Aaron Hut-tons lie. He grew up in amusical amily and startedsinging very young. Tere
were always jam sessionsat holiday times and mu-sic playing at amily get-togethers, he said. I sup-pose it didnt take much tocatch the bug. He begansinging with Nicole McLe-nehans boys choir in el-ementary school and soon
joined other choirs at theBrandonConservatory.He has ond memories osinging with the Minnedo-sa United Church Choiras well as the high school
quartet, Te Four Corners;consisting o himsel, rev-or Crook, William Kingdonand David Comrie. Hutton
was a member o the West-man Youth Choir, partici-
pated in a ew StrathclairDrama Club productionsand danced with CrystalScotts troupe or years too.
When Hutton enteredthe f rst year o his un-
dergraduate degree, hehad decided to be a highschool choir director.
