The Tech-Up Showcase Date: February 18, 2019 - Family day! Time: Open 10am-6pm Location: Science World, at Telus World of Science On Monday February 18, during Family day, students from Qayqayt Elementary and Queensborough Middle School will be participating in a Tech-Up showcase at Science World. During this event, students will demonstrate their newly acquired programming knowledge to the public, sharing what they learned about coding, computational thinking and digital skills, while working on different projects. There will be very engaging and hands-on activities for visitors of Science World that day. If you come to the New Westminster School district booth, you will be able to use Makey-Makey kits and Scratch to play operation games designed by students, while learning about several human body systems. You will also be able to use Raspberry Pi and a Sense Hat to create messages and LED animations using Python programing language! So if you have time on Monday, come to see and support New Westminster students at Science World!
