Click the red box to view the actions for that community.

Some actions appear in multiple places.

Some groups may be especially interested in the Affiliate Track.

The track is designed for all users – but especially those who would like to incrementally build their capacity toward becoming a Welcoming America affiliate.

Read about the process, which asks users to:

1) Watch and reflect on the Welcoming model and its

practices

2) Plan and implement strategies in their

community

For example, Educational actions help users learn about

and reflect on Welcoming themes and practices.

Submit the form once you have responded to the

questions.

Each action provides a description with the points awarded and instructions for the action.

Some actions ask you to read or watch content and respond with your thoughts. Others ask you to perform an activity in your community and describe what happened.

Once you submit your information, points are

automatically added to your account or team account.

The more points you earn, the more opportunity you have to

show up on the monthly scoreboard as a top earner.

You’ll also advance through levels as you accumulate

points.

Every month, Welcoming America awards prizes to top individual and group winners. At the end of the year, there will be a grand prize!

$100 to non-profit of your choice!

Two Easy Ways to Involve Others

1. Refer a Friend Action (share link and win points!)

Add email addresses to send to a friend.

Make any changes to the message and click Submit

button.

2. Create a Team

On the front page, click Create/Join a Team to create a

new team or find an existing team to join.

Teams make it easy for a group of users to work together to take action and earn points cumulatively.

It’s also a great option for groups on an affiliate track.

On the next page, choose whether or not the team will represent a 501-c-3 nonprofit. Groups that want to later apply for affiliate status

will need to be a 501-c-3 or associated with one and will need to provide proof if their status.

Next, enter the name of the team you’d like to create, or check to see if your team is already on record.

Once you search, if your team is already on record, you can request to

join it.

Once you have created a new team, you can view the profile to manage your team profile information, and to

manage team members and invite new members.

. If you are a member of a team, but not its owner, you

can still view the team wall and share comments

Click on the Manage Team Profile button to get to this page, where you can update information about

your team.

Click on the Manage Team Members button to get to this page, where you can invite new members by

entering their emails in the box and clicking the red button.

You can also make any existing members an administrator of the account.
