Shawnee Hills Wine Trail Art Festival

WineThe Friends of Murphysboro are once again pleased to welcome the distinguished wineries of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail to historic Riverside Park in Murphysboro for this years event.

There is no better way to usher in the summer months and enjoy Memorial weekend than to taste wine from all twelve wineries of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail in the romantic setting of historic Riverside

park. With the entire wine trail in one place for two days there is sure to be a wine to please any palate, from the seasoned wine drinker to those new to the world of wine. Taste them all or buy a glass of your favorite and enjoy the day. Wineries on hand include: Blue Sky Vineyard, Inheritance Valley Vineyards, Von Jakob Vineyards, Kite Hill Vineyards, Rustle Hill Winery, Pomona Winery, Orlandini Vineyards, Owl Creek Vineyards, Starview Vineyards, Alto Vineyards, Hickory Ridge Winery and Hedman Vineyards.

Memorial weekend is almost here again and with it comes the excitement of the second annual Shawnee hills Wine Trail Arts Festival. This years event will feature all the fun of last year and more. With Twelve wineries, two days of live music from the bandshell, a vintage baseball tournament, delicious food from 17th Street Bar & Grill and the regions best artisans displaying their handcrafted art, this years event promises a great time for all.

Vintage Base BallThe Murphysboro Clarkes will take on the Springfield Long Nines Saturday at Riverside parks Chep Kessel field. Admission is free to festival goers. Game starts at 1:00pm.

Festival begins at 12 noon both days and ends at 6pm both days. Tickets are just $15 and include a souvenir wine glass, wine tasting, $ 5 coupon and access to all the attractions! The Friends of Murphysboro is a not for profit community organization which raises funds, through events such as the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail Arts Festival, in order to preserve and enhance the legacy of Riverside Park, as well as to bring about community pride and involvement.
