WHAT MAISIE KNEW October 7 USA (2012) This is a contemporary New York City revisioning of the Henry James novel

by the same name. It revolves around unwitting seven-year-old Maisie, caught in a custody battle between her mother, an aging rock star, and her father, a major art dealer. (99 minutes)

WITH A FRIEND LIKE HARRY October 14 France (2000) Harry makes people antsy with his creepy smile, too much disposable income, and a desire to solve other people's problems. In this French thriller, what seems like good intentions gone bad forces an old schoolmate to fight off Harry’s evil which is threatening his family. (117 minutes)

PHOENIXOctober 21 USA (2014) A disfigured concentration camp survivor, unrecognizable after facial reconstruction

surgery, searches ravaged postwar Berlin for the husband who might have betrayed her. (98 minutes)

ILO ILOOctober 28 Singapore (2013) Set in Singapore in 1997, the film chronicles the Lim family and their newly arrived maid, who searches for a better life. Her presence worsens the family’s already strained relationship. A unique bond is formed between the son and maid while the Asian Financial Crisis is felt in the region. (99 minutes).

ROCKETNovember 4 Australia (2013) This film delivers an excellent insight to countries, Thailand and Laos, still suffering from the devastation brought about by their proximity to Vietnam. The child protagonists highlight the problems experienced in a battle-scarred country. (96 minutes)

A BORROWED IDENTITYNovember 11 Israel (2014) A Palestinian-Israeli boy named Eyad is selected to attend a prestigious boarding school in Jerusalem, where he struggles with language, culture, and identity. He meets an Israeli young man who has progressive muscular dystrophy. He also encounters an intelligent and loving Israeli girl, but the question is whether their relationship has a future, because of cultural and religious differences. (104 minutes)

CHRISTOPHER E. MANNING: Everything, As Perfect as it SeemsTuesday, September 6 – Sunday, November 27Everything As Perfect As It Seems explores the inherent duality of the exterior surface while exploring the inner self through painting, drawing, collage, photography and sculpture. Each work presents a teetering balance between memory and the forgotten, truths and lies, light and dark, and all passages between life, death and rebirth. The cumulative narrative represents a portrait of what shapes us, while embodying was forgotten or superfluous to existence.
