Q: Why use the DEK 2Disystem?A: The DEK 2Di system can be used to monitor the printprocess by inspecting areas on the board and/or stencil to determine if the quality of the print is deteriorating. Thisfunctionality allows operators to both identify when a stencilclean or paste dispense isrequired and prevent potentiallycostly issues and defects.

Q: What functionality does 2Di V9 offer?A: By combining our proveninspection system with the nextgeneration Instinctiv™ V9machine user interface, userscan experience higher levels of process control and visibility.DEK 2Di V9 delivers reporting of paste on pad, bridging,alignment, blockage, smear and predicted volume.

Q: What are the advantages ofusing 2Di V9?A: Now backed by the enhancedprocess control of Instinctiv V9,2Di benefits from a whole hostof functionality improvementsincluding fast and simple set-up,on-board guidance, enhancedoperator prompts andautomated post-print inspectionfeedback. Q: Can inspection sites beprogrammed automatically?A: Yes, for common componentssuch as QFPs, BGAs or rows and columns.

Q: Can inspection sites beprogrammed offline?A: Yes. We want our customersto maximise machine utilisationin order to get the most out oftheir equipment and maximiseongoing productivity. That’s whywe’ve developed an ‘OfflineEditor’ that will allow 2Di setupoffline for a higher level ofoperational flexibility.

Q: Can I run 2Di andHawkEye® on my machine?A: Yes – both these options can be present on the machine.However, only one technologycan be in use at any time.

Q: What data outputs does 2Di have?A: 2Di can output SPC data foreach site based upon the limitset acting on it. Raw data canalso be gathered in the E:\Logdirectory by enabling datalogging.
