Alliance Française Rotterdam is part of a global network. We aim to enable our students to become familiar with the language as quickly as possible, therefore French is the language of instruction in all our classes and courses. Improving oral fluency takes up a central position in our teaching method.

REGISTRATION AND FREE ENTERING LEVEL TESTBefore you register you can call on us during one of our open days for an assessment of your level, with no obligations attached. And if you should not find an opportunity to call on us during one of our open days, just telephone us to make an appointment at +31(0)10 436 04 21. You can enrol using our online course form.

THE COMMON EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK OF REFERENCE FOR LANGUAGES defines five language skills (listening comprehension, reading, writing, oral fluency and interaction) at six levels:
We use the Common European Framework for Languages to establish your level. All General French courses are concluded by way of a final assessment. A sufficient result is awarded by a certificate issued by Alliance Française Rotterdam indicating your level within the Common European Framework of Reference.

Prepare for the DELF B2 examination during a 15-hr intensive training. In France the B2 level is often referred to as entering level for international Master programmes for which a command of a foreign language is desired. Also, this is often a required level for those who wish to study or to do internship in France.

PAYMENTStudents are expected to pay before the classes start. Your registration is not complete until payment has been received. Course fees mentioned above exclude materials and € 20.- registration fee. * There is a € 15.- course fee discount for students producing their student card (upper secondary, professional or university education). Sunday, April 3th 2011 is the launch of our exhibition 'Imperfections Plurielles' of works by Henri Wagner et Arnaud Aimé and it will be on in our gallery until April 29th 2011. For fans of French cinema there is our monthly cinéclub, and for art lovers we organise various lectures, including a lecture titled 'Werelden van Kleur' (Worlds of Colour) named after the current exhibition in the Chabot Museum (open until June 5th 2011). On Tuesday June 21st we celebrate the 'Fête de la Musique' music festival. For exact dates and info just visit our website.
