Description of Duties and Responsibilities
General Description: Working with the elected Trustees of the Fremont Union High School District, Student Board Representative provides essential communication and information about student related issues and acts in an advisory role on voting issues and policies.
Representative Duties: Meet with the Intra District Council on Mondays prior to each
Board meeting. Gather information regarding student issues and provide student
perspectives on critical District issues to the Board of Trustees. Gather and communicate information on the needs of the diverse
district student body. Available to represent the district students at a variety of events
and programs. Attend all regularly scheduled meetings of the FUHSD Board of
Trustees.
Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to manage time effectively Able to communicate with adults and students Work cooperatively with others Basic understanding of the workings of a high school Demonstrate understanding of critical educational issues Exhibit good interpersonal skills using tact, patience, listening and
courtesy
