Jackass aims to inspire and grow confidence in young people through engagement with music in all of its forms. We’ll be looking at soundtracks for film, music for theatre, soundscapes, song-writing, and much more. Young people have the opportunity to perform all over the County, Country, and World, as well as the freedom to develop and communicate their ideas while having a whole lot of fun with friends!

Our CREE is open weekly as a safe place for young people to come along and take part in a number of self-led music-based and dance activities with support from CREE Champions and guest artists/musicians. Past activities include break & street dance, graffiti art, circus skills, and acrobatics. The group also have access to a wide variety of specialist advice, information and guidance.

A weekly session for students from St John’s RC Academy developing musical, technical, organisational and creative skills as part of a musical collective using a wide range of instruments from around the world. Young people have many opportunities to perform regularly at outdoor events and festivals playing samba, steel pan and djembe drums as well as stilt walking.

Fast-paced, high-energy, foot-stomping musical fun! ‘Runaway Samba’ brings the flavour of Mardi Gras to performance and procession. Learn traditional Brazilian rhythms, make new friends, and join us at festivals & events around the region. We even wear capes…

Join a team of story-tellers, musicians, and environmentalists to create an interactive outdoor experience for the public to enjoy. We’ll use the natural surroundings as inspiration for stories and soundscapes, forage for resources to create our own instruments, and learn all about the scientific processes of sound and nature.
