Frederick Sargent II 1920-1980 Dr. Frederick Sargent II, an Associate Editor of the BULLETIN OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONTAMINATION AND TOXICOLOGY, died at a local hospital in Houston, Texas~ on March 3, 1980. Dr. Sargent joined the BULLETIN in January, 1970 and enthusiastically served to make the BULLETIN a success. Dr. Sargent, an authority on ecological health and environmental sciences, was professor of human ecology at the University of Texas School of Public Health, where he had been a member of the faculty for 8 years. He formerly served as dean of environmental science and human biology at the University of Wisconsin and as provost of Western WashingtOn State University. He was past president of the International Society of Biometeorology and was the American Regional Editor for CHEMOSPHERE since 1973. Dr. Sargent leaves his wife Anne V. Sargent; a son Peter Bernard Sargent; two daughters, Fredericka S. Sargent and Laura S. Sargent; and a sister, Jane S. Kessler. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to have worked with Dr. Frederick Sargent and he shall be missed by all who have known him. " Y. I. 817

Frederick Sargent II 1920-1980

Dr. Frederick Sargent II, an Associate Editor of the BULLETIN OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONTAMINATION AND TOXICOLOGY, died at a local hospital in Houston, Texas~ on March 3, 1980. Dr. Sargent joined the BULLETIN in January, 1970 and enthusiastically served to make the BULLETIN a success.
