Konzentrische Lichteffekte Der Maverick MK Pyxis von Chauvet ist ein LED-Moving- Head mit einer zentralen Farbzone und einem außenliegen-den Ring aus neun LED-Kammern. Das Konzept erlaubt ganz spezielle Effekte. In der Mitte sitzt eine homogene RGBW-LED mit fixiertem 3°-Abstrahlwinkel. Die neun außenliegenden 15-Watt-RGBW-LEDs des Rings strahlen mit 7°-45° Zoom. Sie sind zu virtuellen Gobo-Effekten fähig, können also den Lichtring scheinbar rotieren lassen.

Concentrated lighting effectsMaverick MK Pyxis from Chauvet is an LED moving head with a central colour zone and an outer ring made up of nine LED chambers. This concept allows for wide variety of special effects. In the centre is a homogenous RGBW LED with a fixed 3° beam angle. The nine 15W RGBW LEDs in the outer ring have zoom angles of 7° to 45°. A built-in virtual gobo wheel with background colours can be used to make the outer ring appear as if it’s spinning.

IP-based large format consoleStage Tec, the Berlin-based professional audio equipment manufacturer, is presenting AVATUS, its brand-new IP-based large format mixing console. The desk’s central control system provides standardised TCP/IP interfaces for connecting the console modules. Each control surface module has its own IP address. Consoles can be linked over a net-work and browser-based remote operation is also available. The web-based Remote UI gives display and operational access to a range of mixing console functions via a web browser. AVATUS workflow oriented displays and controls are built principally on multi-touch screens. This concept offers tremendous freedom in designing workflows and feature enhancements. Coupled with the decentralised operating mode, dispensing with the centre section brings ultimate flexibility, for example in a multi-user operation. „Ökumenische Lichtbrücke“ Lichtdesigner Thomas Gerdon hat in Worms zum 500-jährigen Reformationsjubiläum eine „Ökumenische Lichtbrücke“ von den Kirchtürmen der katholischen Kathe drale bis zur Reformationskirche – und zurück – gespannt. Die ursprüngliche Idee, Such-scheinwerfer zu nutzen, scheiterte daran, dass die Installation an Kirchtürmen ange-bracht werden musste und es daher auf Größe und Gewicht ankam. Die Lösung kam mit dem Proteus Hybrid von Elation. Mit dem Bruchteil des Gewichts und 10% der Leistungsaufnahme eines konventionellen Suchscheinwerfers löste der Proteus Hybrid das Problem. Je drei Scheinwerfer auf der Vorder- und Rückseite des Rah-mens wurden an beiden Kirchtürmen aufeinander gerichtet und erzeugten mit ihren 23.000 Lumen eine bewegte Lichtshow bei Wind und Wetter.

Bridge of light for Reformation anniversaryLighting designer Thomas Gerdon has connected the Catholic Cathedral with the Protestant Luther Church in a bridge of light intended to express the bond between Catholics and Protestants. Gerdon’s initial idea was to use traditional searchlights to form the bridge of light but because the fixtures would need to be installed high up in towers, fixture weight and size was an issue. With 10% of the power draw of a con-ventional spotlight and a fraction of the weight, the Proteus Hybrid from Elation was the answer to the problem. Gerdon placed six of the fixtures in the tower of each church, three in the front row, three in the back, with all six aligned toward the other church, creating an impressive light show with 23,000 lumen in all weathers.

Battery-powered LED PAR with wireless DMX controlThe ZENIT B60 from Cameo LED PAR spotlight, available in black and chrome from Adam Hall, features wireless W-DMX remote control and exceptionally long battery life. The lithium-ion battery delivers a relia-

ble operating time of up to 24 hours in RGBW mode, and up to four whole days in single colour mode. Battery management protects against overcharging and deep dis-charging, ensuring long life of around 50,000 hours. The four 15 W Cree LEDs deliver 1,900 lumen with a beam angle of 11°. Diffusers are included which extend the beam angle to 25° or 40°. Seven RMX modes, an infrared remote control and an integrated 2.4 GHz W-DMX interface ensure convenient wireless operation.

The mc96 from Lawo takes it all in its stride with all relevant IP standards and formats: MPTE 2110, AES67, RAVENNA and DANTE, sample rate converters for the wildest rates and integration of Waves Soundgrid servers. Seamless inte-gration of Neumann DMI-8 digital microphones allows adjust-ment of gain, pre-attenuation, polar patterns and low cut filter settings. The DMI-8 digital microphone interface converts the AES42 data format into a RAVENNA/AES67 signal. The console can function as a mirror console for monitoring and FOH tasks and can be remote controlled from a tablet.

Lichtdesign für die Sunrise-Avenue-Tour Stephan Aue vom Veranstaltungstechnik-Dienstleister Ambion verlässt sich bei seinem Lichtkonzept für die Tournee der finnischen Pop-Rocker von „Sunrise Avenue“ ganz auf die Scheinwerfer ACL 360i und Dartz 360 von Elation. Die „Heartbreak Century“-Europa-Tour begann mit Clubs und endete in großen Arenen. Aue setzte bei zentralen Komponenten seines Designs auf Produkte von Elation. Da die gesamte Produktion zunächst in einen einzigen Auflieger passen musste, standen für das Licht nur 450 kg Zuladung zur Verfügung. Gerade kleine Venues stellen das Design vor besondere Herausforderungen, so dass es besonders auf die Flexibilität der kompakten Scheinwerfer ankam. Fünf Ambion-„Tanktraps“ („Panzerfallen“) wurden mit je 10 ACL 360i und einem Dartz 360 auf der Spitze bestückt. Diese Konstellation erlaubt eine spektakuläre und vielseitige Ausleuchtung kompakter Räume.

Lighting design for the Sunrise Avenue tourStephan Aue from event service provider Ambion is relying on ACL 360i and Dartz 360 spotlights from Elation for the autumn tour by Finnish rockers Sunrise Avenue. Their Heartbreak Century tour throughout Europe started in small venues and ended in large arenas. Stephan Aue turned to Elation prod-ucts for the central components of his lighting design. The entire production had to fit in a single trailer so only 450 kilograms of cargo were available. The

Expansion board for NEXUS audio routing system Stage Tec is showcasing the Router InterFace AES67 (RIF67). The board for the NEXUS STAR router is the result of cooperation with DirectOut Technologies. The DirectOut AES67.IO module has a full AES67 implementation and supports non­proprietary audio and con­trol networking. It enables powerful audio networks to be created via an audio­over­IP connection. On the NEXUS side a single RIF67 supports a maximum of 256 channels in and 256 channels out. It can be equipped with 1 to 4 AES67.IO modules. Each module installed can process a maximum of 256 channels in a maximum of 32 streams on the AoIP side. A board’s modules can be used in independent, physically separated IP networks. Redundant audio transmission according to SMPTE 2022­7 is also planned. RIF67 is configured using a web interface, with status monitoring via NEXUS. The RIF67 is plug­and­play and, like all Stage Tec products, backwards compatible with legacy NEXUS systems.

The Capture­KMC20 therefore offers all the benefits of a K­array line array and is suitable for a wide range of applications – from conference halls and board rooms to places of worship and TV studios. Conferencing for professionalsLD Systems has launched the U500, a conferencing solution for professional users. The conference sets consist of terminals equipped with a gooseneck microphone, LED status ring and OLED display in the base, and feature infrared frequency synchronisation of receiver and microphone unit. The UHF systems operate with true-diversity receivers and are available in three different frequency sets distributed in the 554 to 865 MHz band depending on the region. As a conference system the radio microphones differ from others in that they support priority switching. The receiver is a four-channel unit with an OLED display that shows all the functions and settings such as audio and radio signal strength, priority and – most importantly – the battery status. The thresholds for the gates crucial for conferencing can be set automatically or manually. The ability to limit the number of simultaneously open microphones is an interesting option.

In addition to 17 gobos on two wheels, including seven rotating gobos, it features a rotating prism, a motorised iris, a soft edge filter, a 16-bit dimmer, and a 8-40° zoom, all in a unit weighing only 20 kg. Chic and stableExcellent Line masts from Hof Alutec offer impressive func-tionality combined with chic minimalist design. The basic system can be assembled in different heights by simply connecting tubes together. The appropriate frames for attaching speakers, lighting and other equipment are then added. Hof Alutec is expanding the range with a new option for the EPSON EB-L1000 projector series. In connection with the EPSON yoke, applications range from simple landscape mode with no inclination to landscape and portrait mode, and landscape tandem projections with inclinations in increments of 2 degrees. Inclinable landscape applications are possible without a yoke.

Open-Air-Produktionen auf Out Board TiMaxDer Veranstaltungstechnik-Dienstleister Neumann&Müller setzte bei den Schweri-ner Schlossfestspielen und bei den Erfurter Domfestspielen vergangenen Sommer auf Musiktheater-Beschallung mit Stage-Tracking-Automation von Out Board. In den Produktionen „Der Troubadour“ (Erfurt) und „West Side Story“ (Schwerin) kam die Objekt-basierte dynamische Schalllokalisation des TiMax SoundHub zum Einsatz. Die Steuerung erfolgte in Echtzeit durch TiMax Tracker. In Schwerin bei-spielsweise orteten die Zuschauer die Darstellerinnen und Darsteller so dann auch akustisch dort, wo sie gerade auf der Bühne waren. Die Integration in das Sound-System erfolgte via Dante und drei Yamaha CL 5.

Open-air productions with Out Board TiMaxEvent service providers Neumann&Müller used musical theatre sound systems with stage tracking automation from Out Board for the Schlossfestspiele Schwerin and the Erfurt DomStufenFestspiele last summer. The dynamic object-based sound localisation functionality of the TiMax SoundHub was a feature of performances of The Troubadour (Erfurt) and West Side Story (Schwerin). TiMax Tracker provid-ed real-time control. In Schwerin the audience was able once again able to accu-rately localise the actors and artists in the stage area. TiMax was integrated in the sound system via Dante and three Yamaha CL5 desks.

In-ear for demanding applicationsDuetto from K-array are ultra-compact in-ear aluminium alloy earbuds with Kevlar cables to meet high requirements in the pro audio sector. Duetto is based on full-range trans-ducers that cover the complete frequency range from 5 Hz to 23 kHz in very high audio quality. Unlike conventional in-ear earbuds, they penetrate the external auditory canal and transfer the sound pressure towards the eardrum. Similar to a speaker’s reflex port that res-onates air based on the movement of the woofer, the earbuds are equipped with a micro hole that increases the efficiency of the transducer at low frequencies. Duetto comes with three types of ear tips in silicon and memory foam to provide comfort and circumvent slip-page from the ear canal. Lautsprecher mit neuartiger SchallführungPioneer Professional Audio präsentiert mit der XY-3B eine Hochleistungs-3-Wege-Bi-Amping-Beschallungsbox (Nennleis-tung 1200 + 200 W), deren Schallführung auf einem neuartigen Design beruht, dessen Entwicklung ohne 3D-Drucker nicht mög-lich gewesen wäre. Der Mittel-Hochtonbereich integriert den Hochtöner und den Mitteltöner in einem gemeinsamen Wave Guide („Bi-Horn“), das ohne weitere Elektronik phasenlinear zu-sammenspielt. Dabei liegt der Auslass des Hochtöners unter der oberen Hälfte des Mittel-Töner-Auslasses, also näher bei den Tief-tönern. Der Mitteltontreiber sitzt vor einer Treiberkammer und strahlt durch ein Kühlblech (Heat Sink) auf einen Diffusor („X Phase Baffle“), der höhere Schalldrücke und eine breitere Wellenfront er-zielt, welche dann auf das eigentliche Wave Guide führt, das auf 50° horizontal und 35° vertikal abstrahlt. Damit dies phasenlinear gelingt, steckt vor dem Auslass ein markanter, vergoldeter, so ge-nannter „X-Phase-Plug“, der mit seiner komplexen Geometrie das Aussehen der Box besonders prägt. Die beiden 12“-Woofer strahlen in eine innere Druckkammer ab und lassen den Schall mittig vorn aus der Box heraus.

New waveguideThe XY-3B from Pioneer Professional Audio is a high-performance 3-way bi-amping speaker (rated at 1200 + 200 W) with a newly designed waveguide which could not have been developed without a 3D printer. The mid-range driver and the compression driver are both attached to the integrated waveguide (bi-horn) so the two are blended in phase without the need for additional electronics. The outlet for the compression driver is below the upper half of the mid-range driver outlet. In other words, it is closer to the cone drivers. The mid-range driver sits ahead of the driver chamber. Its sound exits via a heat sink and strikes a diffuser (X Phase Baffle), producing higher SPL and a broader wave front leading to the waveguide itself with its 50 degrees horizontal and 35 degrees vertical dispersion. Driver cone cancellation is minimised thanks to the strik-ing gold X-Phase Plug which with its complex geometry gives the speaker its unique appearance. The two 12” woofers make use of an internal pressure chamber with the sound being emitted from the front centre of the speaker.

Zusätzlich wurde die Scheinwerferreihe, bei der MeanWell- und Philips-Bauteile verwendet werden, von XOOP Lighting an die Kundenreakti-onen angepasst und strahlt nun auch in der Grö-ßenordnung von 50 bis 200 Watt. Oper von Sydney baut auf LawoDer Studio-Ausstatter Professional Audio & Television (PAT) hat das in der Oper von Sydney gelegene Joan-Sutherland-Theater mit Lawo-Konsolen ausgestattet. Als zent-raler Audio-Router wurde ein Nova73 Core von Lawo als mc-Mix-Engine konfiguriert. Dies erlaubt die nahtlose Einbindung von MADI-, RAVENNA- und Dante-Signalen gemeinsam mit Analog- und AES-Signalen unter der Bedienoberfläche des mxGUI. So können praktisch unbegrenzt Snapshots definiert werden, um Theater-Cues zu bedienen und dennoch Zugriff auf alle Parameter zu behalten, um spontan reagieren zu können. Eine Anwender-definierbare, taktile Mix-Oberfläche wird durch die Ergän-zung einer mit Vistool MK2 ausgestatteten Lawo Crystal gewährleistet.

Sydney Opera House banks on LawoProfessional Audio & Television (PAT) has equipped the Joan Sutherland Theatre in the Sydney Opera House with Lawo consoles. A Lawo Nova73 Core is configured as an mc mix engine and used as the central audio router in the Joan Sutherland Theatre. This enables seamless integration of MADI, RAVENNA and Dante signals together with analogue and AES signals in the mxGUI interface. This means it’s possible to define a virtually unlimited number of snapshots to operate theatre cues and still retain access to all the parameters in order to respond spontaneously. A user-definable tactile mix interface is provided by the addition of a Lawo Crystal equipped with Vistool MK2.

dot2 begleitet das BundesjugendballettIm Rahmen seiner aktuellen Tour „Im Aufschwung IX“ ist das Bundesjugendballett mit einer dot2 XL-F von MA Lighting unterwegs. Das Bundesjugendballett unter der Intendanz von John Neumeier und der künstlerischen Leitung von Kevin Haigen gastiert bei Musikfestivals, in Konzerthäusern und Theatern, aber auch an ungewöhnlichen Orten wie Seniorenresiden-zen, Schulen, leergepumpten Schwimmbädern, Kir-chenräumen oder Clubs. Die acht Tänzerinnen und Tänzer im Alter von 18 bis 23 Jahren tanzen nicht nur Klassiker der Ballettgeschichte, sondern auch eigene Choreografien und neue, exklusiv für sie geschaffene Kreationen zeitgenössischer Choreografen.

dot2 accompanies the German National Youth BalletThe German National Youth Ballet has been joined on its current tour by a dot2 XL-F console from MA Lighting. In addition to the classics, the eight dancers, ranging in age from 18 to 23, per-form their own choreographs and new pieces created exclusively for them by contemporary choreogra-phers.

Lawo V__remote4 debuts on Australia Day The V__remote4 from Lawo is a video processor which amply demonstrated its net-work capabilities at the Australia Day celebrations in Sydney Harbour. The technical services provider “The P.A. People” ran HD SDI video and MADI via an extensive 10G Bro-cade IP network to distribute video and sound between the central event vision control (in the Sydney Opera House) and all the cameras and LED screens. Singers on a floating barge some 120 m from the shore performed to music generated by an on-stage or-chestra, and then pictures were relayed back to the shore for broadcast. Achieving this without latency was a colossal challenge for Ruckus network switches, the fibre cables, the wireless links, the network and the synchronising video mixers.

Dante-Adapter für Audiogeräte ohne DanteViele Audiogeräte, man denke an fest installierte Audio-Verstärkeranlagen, tun zufrie-denstellend ihren Dienst und müssen keineswegs komplett ausgetauscht werden, um in ein Dante-System integriert zu werden. Audinate präsentiert mit der AVIO-Serie sechs Dante-Netzwerk-Adapter auf andere Audio-Formate. Dazu zählen Adap-ter mit analogen Line-Ins und Line-Outs, ein bidirektionaler Adapter (I/O) für AES3/EBU, aber auch ein bidirektionaler USB-Adapter. Jeder dieser Adapter fungiert als komplett unabhängi-ges Dante-Gerät und kann als sol-ches in das Audionetzwerk einge-bunden werden. Die ein- und zweikanaligen Adapter erlauben die Weiterverwendung von DI- Boxen, Recordern, Zuspielern, Amps und Aktivboxen in einer digitalen Multicore- Umgebung, die zu komplexen Netzen (Hotelkomplexe mit mehreren Veranstaltungs-orten, Sportstadien, Kongresszentren, aber auch Clubs und einfache Venues und Stadthallen) zusammengefasst und fest verkabelt, aber doch flexibel geroutet wer-den können. Dante arbeitet ohne Datenreduktion und ist praktisch latenzfrei. Das Routing erfolgt dabei über die Dante-Controller-Software.

Dante adapter for audio devices without DanteLots of audio devices, such as permanently installed audio amplifier systems, are per-forming a perfectly satisfactory service and certainly do not have to be replaced in order to be integrated in a Dante system. Audinate is presenting the AVIO series of six Dante network adapters for different audio formats. They include adapters with analogue line-ins and line-outs, a bidirectional adapter (I/O) for AES3/EBU and a bi-directional USB adapter. Each of these adapters functions as a completely independ-ent Dante device and can be integrated as such in the audio network. The one and two-channel adapters enable legacy DI boxes, recorders, players, amps and active speakers to be used in a digital multicore environment which can be combined and wired to create complex networks (hotel complexes with multiple event locations, sports stadiums, congress centres, clubs, single venues and town halls) but can still be flexibly routed. Dante operates without data reduction and is virtually latency free. Routing is handled via the Dante controller software.

Wireless load monitoringMore than ever before, safety is a key re-quirement for events of all kinds, whether as permanent systems in theatres, opera houses and halls or as temporary systems

at open-air concerts. Floating loads are a particular problem and it is imperative to have a good idea of the weights involved at all times. The BroadWeigh wireless measurement system uses a special struc-ture comprising suspensions and sensors to monitor all the safety-related parame-ters with a high level of precision (0.1% of the rated load), even for highly complex ar-rangements. A dongle base station is a new feature. It is a USB stick which pro-vides all the functions of the existing con-ventional base stations and operates over a range of up to 500 metres despite its tiny dimensions. The dongle base station makes working with the system much eas-ier, particularly in connection with tablets and laptops.

Fully modularThe new Solaro QR (Quarter Rack) proces-sor from Xilica is an extremely compact yet very powerful modular, drag & drop configured network processor. Like all of Xilica’s future processors, the QR is built on a new Linux platform and Xilica’s brand new DSP card. The modular design makes it highly configurable. Eight rear cards slots accept two-channel analogue cards and AES audio I/O cards for a total of 16 audio channels, or four-channel GPIO cards for a total of 32 GPIO channels. For added I/O flexibility a built in 4x4 Dante network audio card is included and an AEC model with VOIP audio interface is optional. Xilica is also showcasing the Solaro FR (Full Rack), the new premium model in the So-laro series. The FR is also modular and uses a new Linux operating system. The focus here is also on flexible configuration. The I/O architecture is user-configurable. Optional I/O flexibility is provided by AEC models with VOIP audio interface. 100 Jahre Finnland – Größte Lichtinstallation der WeltZum 100-Jährigen Unabhängigkeitsjubiläum des skandinavischen Landes wird der Berg Saana, knapp 500 Kilometer nördlich des Polarkreises, in der Nationalfarbe blau hell erleuchtet. Es ist, so die Veranstalter, die größte, temporäre Lichtinstallation die bisher jemals realisiert wurde. Die illuminierte Fläche beträgt circa 2,5 Millionen Quadratmeter was ungefähr 350 Fußballfeldern entspricht. Die technische Leitung und kreative Führung für diese einmalige Lichtinstallation übernahm der finnische Lichtkünstler Kari Kola. Unter dem Motto „Luminous 100“ wurden in den vergange-nen Wochen verschiedene Lichtinstallationen in Finnland realisiert und fanden nun ihren Höhepunkt am Berg Saana. Auf der Suche nach dem geeigneten Scheinwerfer für diese Anwendung entschied sich Kari Kola nach verschiedenen Tests unter Extremsituationen für den Chroma Scheinwerfer der deutschen Ehrgeiz Licht-technik. Besondere Anforderung dabei: einerseits die eisigen Temperaturen von bis zu - 20°C zu überstehen und andererseits eine hohe Lichtstärke zur Verfügung zu stellen, um den Sanaa in dieser Helligkeit auszuleuchten. Insgesamt wurden für die Lichtinstallation lediglich 136 Stück des, mit speziell für diesen Einsatz mit blauen LEDs bestückten, Chroma benötigt.

Finland 100 years old – largest lighting installation in the worldTo mark the centenary of Finland’s independence, Mount Saana around 500 kilo-metres north of the Arctic Circle was lit up in the national colour of blue. According to the organisers, this was the largest temporary lighting installation ever attempt-

ed. The illuminated area covered about 2.5 million square metres, equivalent to 350 football pitches. Technical and crea-tive responsibility for this unique instal-lation rested with Finnish light artist Kari Kola. Various light installations were staged throughout Finland as part of the centenary celebrations, and Mount Saana was the climax to these “Lumi-nous 100” events. In his quest to find suitable spotlights for this venture, Kari

Kola conducted various tests under extreme conditions and oped eventually for Chroma spotlights for the German company Ehrgeiz Lichttechnik. The require-ments were tough. The spotlights had to withstand temperatures as low as -20°C and provide high luminous intensity in order to illuminate Mount Saana sufficiently brightly. Only 136 Chroma spotlights, equipped with blue LEDs specifically for this event, were needed.

Netzwerk-Management für DanteDer Dante Domain Manager von Audinate ist eine Browser-basierte Lösung zur Organisation von Dante-Netzwerken. Der Kerngedanke besteht darin, mehrere Netze (Domains) innerhalb einer bestehenden größeren Infrastruktur differenzieren zu können und ihren Bedienern spezifische Kompe-tenzen zuzuweisen. In einem Hotelkom-plex könnten so eine Vielzahl von über Dante verbundenen Audiogeräten in Domains aufgeteilt sein, dass Paging- Systeme oder Systeme für Sicherheits-ansagen (Gebäudeevakuierung, Alarm oder Durchsagen) immer unangetastet bleiben, wenn ein Techniker in einem Konferenzsaal die Beschallung einer Podiumsdiskussion durchführt. An ande-rer Stelle im Gebäudekomplex könnte ein Konzert stattfinden, und anderswo Videopräsentationen mit Ton. Der Dante Domain Manager weist den zuständigen Mitarbeitern ihre Kompetenzen zu und überwacht das gesamte Netz und analysiert Fehlermeldungen – etwa über Synchronisationsverlust – und lernt aktiv die Lösungen.

Network management for DanteDante Domain Manager from Audinate is a browser-based solution for organising Dante networks. The basic idea is to provide a way to differentiate between different domains within an existing large infrastructure and assign specific responsibilities to thei r operators. In a large hotel complex a large number of audio devices linked via Dante could be distributed among domains so that paging systems or security an-nouncement systems (building evacuation, alarms or announcements) remain un-touched whenever an engineer is working on the sound system for a podium discussion in a conference hall. A concert could be taking place in another area of the complex, and a video presentation with sound somewhere else. Dante Domain Manager assigns re-sponsibilities to the relevant employees, monitors the entire network, analyses error messages such as loss of synchronisation, and actively learns the solutions.

Mixer with iPad control and a Dante optionThe new T2208 from TOPP PRO is a rack-mountable compact digital mixing console with one motorised fader. The console can be remote controlled from an iPad. 16 XLR inputs with mic preamps and reserve inputs add up to 22 inputs and 12 output buses with 8 ana-logue Aux outputs plus main stereo out and control room out and a USB interface. Control is either via an iPad or a 7” touch screen and the LIVE control surface that includes a motor-ised fader for controlling volume and DCA groups. The performance encoders allow easy control of the parametric equaliser, compressor and gate. The unit has two multi-effect processors. The inputs and outputs have delay parameters for time alignment. The unit can be expanded with an optional Dante I/O card or a 32-channel USB I/O card.
