Obstetric Anaesthetists’ Association 6-7 April 1995-York, UK Call for papers York is the historic capital of the north and second city of the realm, a fascinating place to visit. The meeting will be held in a purpose-built lecture theatre and a fourteenth-century Hospitium at the Yorkshire Museum. These are set in 10 acres of gardens in the centre of the city by the river. One of York’s medieval Guild Halls will be used for the dinner. The city is easily accessible by rail (2 h from London, Edinburgh and Birmingham), road (30 min from the Ml/M62 network) and by air (45 min from Leeds Airport). There is a wide variety of accommo- dation available from four-star hotels to small guest houses all within a few minutes’ walk of the venue. Abstracts (3 copies) should be submitted on one side of a single sheet of A4 paper with a 1.5 inch margin down the left hand side. The title of the work, the authors and their affiliation should be given at the head of the page. Conventional titles (introduction, methods, results, conclusion, references) are advis- able. References should conform to the style of the International Journal of Obstetric Anesthesiu. All selected abstracts will have both oral and poster presentation. A prize will be awarded for the best presentation. The meeting will focus on developments in obstetric analgesia, quality, risk management and the impli- cations of the Cumberlege report. Both members and non-members are welcome to attend and to submit free papers. Further details and registration forms may be obtained from Dr Madej at the address below. If you wish your abstract to be considered for inclusion in the International Journal qf’ Obstetric Anesthesiu, please send an additional copy double spaced.
