The government has recentlyannounced that the currentfeed in tariff rates for solar willremain until the end of July. Areduced rate will then applyfrom 1st August until the end of October.
Due to cost reductions in solar,this means that, even at today’slower FIT rates, a 10%+ returncan still be made on solar investment.
Lark Energy installed over50,000 solar panels during thelast 9 months, supplying enoughrenewable energy to power theequivalent of 4,000 homes.

Lark Energy is continuing todevelop a large number ofcommercial solar projectsranging in size from 10 kWp toover 30 MWp. The latter will represent the UK’s largest solarfarm when it begins constructionlater in the year in Leicestershire.
From 1st April, any new PVproject that is connected to abuilding will require that buildingto have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of D orabove. The good news is that thePV itself can contribute to anenhanced rating. Further goodnews for customers is that commercial PV installations nolonger require planning permis-sion providing they meet certainbasic conditions.
