MEMORIALS

Knights of Columbus Memorial Scholarship Fund

In Loving Memory of † Monie Kay Zaskoda

By John Vollentine

Who is a Christian? Who belongs in the Church and who does not? God reveals that all are called and with faith in God all are welcomed. Jesus also teaches us about faith. He does not grant the wom-an’s initial requests. Her response shows her persistent faith. God desires all people to have great faith and rela-tionship with Him. How persistent are we in strengthening our relationship with God?

Mission appeal This weekend, Fr. Christopher Ferrer, JCL will be doing a mis-sion appeal on behalf of the Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation, a Philippine-based poverty allevi-ation and nation-building organi-zation. He will only be present at the Sunday, August 20th 10:00 am Mass at St. Mary. We will have a second collection for this cause during all Masses at Holy Rosary and St. Mary this week-end.
