FMP - Production Log

Name Dylan Jones

Date: 20.02.14

Today I have started making the background for the first scene of the animation. I used the line tool and then deleted the lines after I had filled them in to give the background a distance between the characters. I used the select tool to also curve the lines if the surface I wanted to be round.

Date: 25.02.14

I added extra features to the background like shadows and plants I used different layers for each feature so if I do something wrong I don’t have to delete the whole background.

Date: 27.02.14

Today I made a red circle to indicate on where and how the character should move in the animation. I used the onion skinning so I know where I last placed the circle.

Date: 04.03.14

Today I have created the main character in the animation drawn in flash I have made different copies and coloured them all differently to see which I like. Here I used different technics like used the circle tool and curved then with the select tool.

Date: 06.03.14

Today I planned out some of the characters that I will use in the animation I used flash to draw them. I also used different layers for each limb so it would be easier for me to animate them as I could use the rotate tool to move them.

I started to draw the backgrounds and scene objects for more scenes that will be used in the animation.

Date: 13.03.14

Today I have drawn the characters in flash using the line tool I put each limb in a different layer so it would be easy for me to tween it.

Date: 18.03.14

I then made the other character in Flash and tested on how his skin should look like.

Date: 20.03.14

Today I continued using flash and I’m now tweening one of the character to form an animation where he is swimming towards something.

Date: 25.03.14

Today I continued with the animation I am making and finished scene 1 for the trailer and now started on scene 2.

Date: 27.03.14

I finished the second scene by tweening the character as if he was opening a door by pasting the door in the opposite direction and tweening it gives it an opening look.

Date: 31.03.14

Today I have finished a few more scenes to the animation by using classic tweening and the select tool.

Date: 01.04.14

I have done most of the scenes I only need to import my surface background to the animation and animate that.

Date: 02.04.14

Today I recorded the voices needed in the animation and moved my surface background to the animation.

Date: 03.04.14

Today I uploaded some scans to the blogger and have finished the last scene of the animation.

Date: 06.05.14

Today I had wav. Audio and flash can’t play then so I converted them into mp3. In adobe audition. Doing this allow adobe flash to accept the audio and store them into the libery.

Date: 08.05.14

With the audio in place with the animation I then went back to all the characters and made their mouths move while they were speaking. I used the shape tween to make it look like as the mouth was moving.
