FM9 Family, Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year. It’s hard to believe we are already beginning our third year together! Since the spring of 2014, we have come together as a team, taken risks, created engaging lessons, achieved amazing results with our students, welcomed new teachers and staff into our community, and had a lot of fun along the way! This year promises to be our best year yet, and I can’t wait to get started. As we prepare for the year, I would like to remind you of a few things to keep in mind.
• There is no greater profession than to educate children. Never forget how important you are in the lives of your students.
• We all get distracted during the year when things get busy. Remember our focus. Yes, we teach content. But more importantly, we teach kids.
• You are not alone! We are a team here at FM9, and we are all here to support you. Reach out for help when you need it.
• We are a team. No one of us is more important than the next, and it takes all of us make FM9 the great organization that it is.
• Don’t be afraid to reach out and share your learning with others. Between FM9 and FMHS Main, we have the best educators in the state. Learn from each other!
