Making It up

As spring gets near, the students at FHS get itchy. If you pass through the halls, you can see the students racing up and down-just waiting to get out. Unfortunately, spring did not come early this year. We had had an expected snow storm and missed a week of school. Sure it was fun at the time, but now the time has come to make that work up . . .

Spring has sprung and it is the time for squirt guns and water balloons. FHS is a great place for these gadgets, and if you're not careful, you will get hit.

s the days drag on, kids get restless and can't wait to get out. The seniors lucked out and don't have to go the extra week. Hang in there, Baby-the 29th is coming . . .

These Were the Best Years

Well the seniors finally made it. Many are asking themselves, "Where did those four years go?" As they say those four years are the best of your life, and they passed like water rushing down stream. As you go through our annual, hopefully you will see some of the BEST YEARS OF OUR LIFES as we TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS ! !

The juniors started decorating the Banquet and Prom areas Monday, May 5th.

Various committees had been named in advance for those things that needed to be completed. This made the gigantic task of decorating much easier.

Gayle Johnson and her committee were responsible for the table decorations at both the Banquet and Prom.

Mim Amdahl was chairman of the committee for the Banquet area at the Methodist Church. Mim and her committee decorated it with blue starred streamers. One wall was completely covered with star paper with the theme of the Prom written on it.

The site for Prom was the Spafford gym. Teri Sutton and her committee started right away by hanging the ceiling streamers of blue and silver. Pink and burgandy streamers for the table area were then put into place.

The framework for the wishing well was completed, and the roof was covered with brown and yellow pomps. The base was covered with contact paper resembling bricks.

As Saturday approached, the finishing touches were added to these two areas. All was in readiness when the juniors and their guests entered for the Banquet on Saturday, May 10th.

Uv Marl Mryvang, a foreign exchange student, related to the group how well she had enjoyed her senior year at FHS. Following a song by the Swing Choir, the "75" king and queen were named. Enchanted Evening

The Prom dance was again held at the Spafford gym, which was decorated in the senior's colors of burgandy and silver.

One entered the Prom through an archway of green and white pomps. Immediately to the left stood a colorful water fountain that shot water six feet or more in the air.

The walls and ceiling were decorated with blue and silver streamers. In the middle of the ceiling hung a huge silver ball that rotated.

The table area was separated from the dance floor by trcamers and pomp trees. Each table had a different colored candle on it to provide light for the area.

The Junior Class begins raising money for the Prom by selling concessions at all home football, basketball, and wrestling events. Every member works at least once throughout the year.

The Juniors also sell magazines to raise money. From these sales, the Juniors receive a certain percentage of the total sales.

This money is then used for the financing of the Prom. Any extra money is put in the class treasury and kept until the senior year. The money can then be used to donate something to the school, such as plaques, etc.
